Almost dead and buried

Who checked the ranking of the Eredivisie in Holland around this time last year was in for a surprise. Ajax was in last place, a relegation spot, the had lots of games left, but still it was very worrying for the 4 time Champions League winner. The transfers were a disaster and the football was unlike anything ever seen in Amsterdam, a disgrace for the institution.

But miraculously they stood up, eventually managed to pull out Europa League qualification for this season but with more than 30 points behind league winners PSV.

Today, Ajax Amsterdam is back in the game, with good football and spirit in the squad. They managed to win to top games against rivals in less than a week. Wednesday they won 0-2 in Feyenoord and today they kicked PSV in the butt. Ajax revives, as it always does!
