Chinese maffia
Finally a person from the WhatsApp scam farms has broken the omertà and talked about all the secrets of how the scam exactly operates.
The woman worked from a gigantic “farm” in Dubai. Her bosses were Chinese, which is in most farms the case. The employees are mostly from Nepal, The Filipines and Africa. She showed screenshots of the extremely professional software they were working with.
The Modus Operandi was always the same, first trying to get a good click with “the customer”, and gain their trust. With pictures from models in fancy cars and even pre made videos with the same models were shared. They could even tweak live conversations with the customer with videos from the models and make it look as if they were talking to the models.
Once the trust was gained, the attack started by offering amazing profits in investments. Always via crypto platforms like Binance and OKX. So the money transferred wasn’t traceable. The customer invests and is talked into investing more, but never sees his money back.
Extreme commissions
The base pay wasn’t high at all, between 850 and 1250 USD per month. But travel expenses to Dubai were paid and food and living expenses were also paid. But the big money was in the commissions. They received between 1 and 7 % on the deposits of the “customers”. Which could give them 10 times their base pay per month.
