I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
Before I go further, I will like to enlighten you guys what rotation system means in poultry farm business. This system in poultry farm business leans more towards convenience and space than any other thing. Why I said this, is that, rotation system is somehow systematic in the sense that, if there's no enough space it's not easy to run rotation system in the poultry farm.
What's rotation system in poultry farm? And how is it run?
Rotation system as it name implies simply means that you are not going out of stock for a longer period of time. How? This system allows that you have two separates space rear your birds. For example, it's when you have four weeks broiler birds in a space and day old ones in another separate room. Such that when the four weeks are seven weeks, ready for harvest, the day old ones would have been three weeks ready to be moved to where the seven weeks ones are evacuating.
The systematic thing about this rotation system is there must be working capital to run the system. This working capital mostly and solely covers the feed that the birds will feed on because one has to be feeding the bigger ones and the small ones. Meanwhile, this my particular cage has only been used for once ever since it's made about two years ago but putting it into use now brings back the reason why it's made in the first place.
Also, note that the pictures of the birds you are seeing above are birds of four weeks recently moved from the smaller pen that I also called the brooding pen. Once they are five weeks, I will be bringing in new day old birds so by the time the four weeks ones are ripe for harvest the day old birds would be preparing for the bigger pen.
