There is "something" in Asian culture, and Japan specifically, that attracts many tourists, and not just tourists there... When I watch some TV quiz here in Spain, and they ask participants how would they spend their reward, like 50% of them say that they would go on a trip, and not anywhere in the world, but Japan!! So weird that they have it in a specific location... 😃

When I was young(er) 😂, I was always car sick and because of that, I hated going on a trip... I liked the idea of excursions with my classmates, but I was always car sick and would suffer almost all the journey...

Today, if I would be able to do it, I would like to travel 365/7 😂... The irony is that I had time and possibility, I didn't do it, and now with the family and obligations, it's not possible to do it... Anyway, as my son is growing, I can plan more travels which my wife and we are doing... Maybe one day Japan will come up in our plans...

Thanks for sharing your story! If I could go back in time and do things differently, I would do it like you are doing/did!

Japan is sooooooo popular it’s ridiculous. When I lived in China, specifically not a Shanghai or Beijing, I invited everyone but no one even considered visiting. But as soon as I came back to Japan, I suddenly become everyone’s excuse to travel.

Also on twitter or YouTube I’m very nervous to say anything about Japan. Japanese people don’t mind but western people will destroy you for having even a tiny criticism.

It’s a unique place but a life is actually kind of monotonous here once you get used to it, even more than other places. A lot of the crazy or beautiful stuff is only like that on the surface, and a lot of the true culture is lost. Don’t tell Twitter I said that!

I hope you can travel with and without your son soon! If you come to Tokyo I can recommend a few local restaurants which cater to families!
