Landscape / Cityscape Photography: panoramic views of Prague

in #hive-1470103 years ago

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

It has been a while since I posted something through Liketu so let´s do that now :) Over the past few weeks, I have been walking and hiking around the surroundings of our apartment here in Prague, Czech Republic quite a lot. This part of the city is actually pretty hilly so oftentimes, you end up on elevated spots that offer some interesting panoramic views. Unfortunately, I don´t have my phone with me every time I go for a walk or hike (for safety reasons, I´m very careful about my stuff :D) so some of the views that I got to enjoy remained uncaptured but others did get snapped by me and it was a pleasure to compile a little collection of these pictures for you ;)

I hope you liked the shots. Again, these are not best panoramic views in the city, just some of those that can be found in the surroundings of where we are staying now as I already mentioned. On the other hand, that comes with the benefit of these spots not being crowded like some of the most popular Prague viewpoints such as the Petrin Tower, the Zizkov Tower, the Prague Castle etc. These touristy spots offer more impressive views covering the picturesque historic heart of the city but they tend to get really crowded and you might have troubles taking some decent shots without random strange people in them over there. That´s why I actually like exploring the less known spots and there are still many that I´m yet to check out so this is probably not the last post of this kind on my blog ;)

I never imagined that Prague had so many green spaces in the city.

I remember before 2000 when I was still living in Italy I was tempted to visit Prague, I would have loved to see it.

Besides, it was said that at that time things cost a lot less. Then for one reason or another I could not go and I will always have that feeling of what I could have known and I did not get to do it.

Greetings @phortu.

Hey, thanks for stopping by! Prague is actually much greener than many people think. Especially if you know where to look for those cool natural getaways ;) This particular photoshoot was not even meant to be a "green one", it´s rather just a random mix of some of the viewpoints I have lately visited. You are right, the inflation has been crazy here over the past few years but I still hope you will make it here, it´s a beautiful city ;)

Beautiful views، they are so relaxing, roaming among green nature is great, I also don't like crowds. How nice it is to live in village.

Well with 1.3 million inhabitants, Prague is not exactly a village (maybe by Chinese or Japanese standards :D) but thank you for checking out the pictures :)

Hi @phortun

You are really very intent on offering something different than usual. It's always nice to see things from the other side that people rarely exploit.

Moreover, you take it from a height, it is a wide view to see every corner of your city.
Have a nice day

Well not exactly every corner of the city as Prague is huge and these views cover just a tiny portion of it but I´m glad you enjoyed the shots anyway ;) Thanks for stopping by!

Rozhodně doporučuji vyrazit tam v zimě když napadne sníh a fouká vítr. Dost to pak připomíná mongolskou step.

To jsem netušil, že ty stromy kolem ohrady jsou tvoje práce :) Jo, taky se mi to tam líbí. Pěkné výhledy do okolí, příroda a minimum lidí, přesně moje gusto...

Lidí tam bývá minimum to je pravda, protože pro turisty je to tak trochu mimo a přitom je to jeden z nejlepších výhledů v Praze. Během kovidu se tam potulovalo o dost více lidí než teď.

Beautiful photos

Thank you.

I love cities with elevated spots like these, panoramic views are priceless!
When you say you don't always have your phone for safety reasons is it that you might get robbed or you might damage your phone in some way?

No it´s just me being super careful about my stuff, I hate to expose my phone to dust, rain, direct sunlight etc. which is why I sometimes don´t take it with me on hikes. My country is generally very safe and you don´t need to worry about getting robbed here ;)

Okay, that's cool 😎. My city is generally safe too and no need to worry about getting robbed 🌚

Thanks!

Great photos mate. Is it Danube? Budapest also has such viewpoints, but it is not as greeny as here.

Thanks man :) No, it´s not Danube, it´s the Vltava River :)

Wish you had shared it in our contest which I have already invited you :)

What contest do you mean?

I found it, thanks. I don´t usually check mentions, sorry. Next time please better write a comment ;)

Definitely a different view on Prague...

That´s right :) Far from the city center... Thanks for your support Andy! Much appreciated as always. Have a wonderful weekend.

:) (horko a zeleno :D)

The design of houses is wonderful, suitable for comfortable housing for everyone, unlike huge buildings that block the sun's rays.
Simplicity in living is the root of happiness.

Thanks for your comment, I´m glad you enjoyed the post.

I was just passing through Prague. I have heard that this is one of the most photogenic cities. I really want to take a photo tour there soon! Otherwise, don't worry about your things. Just carry only what you need with you. :)))

It´s a very photogenic city indeed. I haven´t really had the time yet to do some proper shootings in the historic center, which is the most picturesque part, but you can find some more shots here ;)

LANDSCAPE VIEWS ARE AWESOME

Yes, do share the less known areas, these views are still precious @phortun 😁
Beautiful… it truly looks stunning.
Have a great Friday!

Thanks! I always prefer heading off the beaten path rather than visiting the popular touristy spots ;) Have a lovely weekend too!

We are the same… going of the beaten track always, than the adventure truly starts 😉😎
Thank you so much 👋🏻☀️
