Last week I was invited to attend the exhibition of paintings by artist Adriana Gaspar, entitled "Rendas da Ilha" in honor of women lace makers. The event took place during the women's day celebrations in downtown Florianópolis, in a historic place known as Largo da Alfandega. For those who don't know the local history, lacemakers are traditional figures in Florianópolis and there is even an avenue called Avenida das Rendeiras. An important info is, Rendeiras means Lacemakers. Unfortunately, it is a tradition that is gradually lost in such technological days.
The artist uses lace stitches in her paintings to create a lace effect over the image. What results in a super delicate work and full of details. The paintings are one more beautiful than the other and represent, with beauty, the work of Florianópolis lacemakers.
The public strolled through the exhibition, where they met with other local artists. Women lacemakers, making their bobbin lace live and singer Helo Gonzaga lavishing joy with her beautiful Samba trio.
In the space where the event took place, there is an outdoor cafe where people can stop and sit at the tables to better enjoy the tour, have a coffee, a water and follow the path.
I had a lot of fun during the morning that I visited the exhibition, I was able to appreciate the works of Adriana Gaspar, the lace makers working and the samba trio by Helo Gonzaga. And obviously, I took the opportunity to take several photographs to illustrate for all of you how it was this morning.

Olá meus amigos!
Na semana passada fui convidado a prestigiar a exposição dos quadros da artista Adriana Gaspar, intitulada "Rendas da Ilha" em homenagem as mulheres rendeiras. O evento aconteceu durante as comemorações do dia da mulher no centro da cidade de Florianópolis, em um local histórico conhecido como Largo da Alfandega. Para aqueles que não conhecem a história local, as rendeiras são figuras tradicionais em Florianópolis e inclusive existe uma avenida chamada Avenida das Rendeiras. Infelizmente é uma tradição que aos poucos se perde em dias tão tecnólogicos.
A artista usa de pontos de renda nas suas pinturas, para criar o efeito de renda sobre a imagem. O que resulta num trabalho super delicado e cheio de detalhes. Os quadros são um mais lindo que o outro e representam, com beleza, os trabalhos das rendeiras de Florianópolis.
O público passeou pela exposição, onde se encontrou com outras artistas locais. Mulheres rendeiras, fazendo suas rendas de bilro ao vivo e a cantora Helo Gonzaga esbanjando alegria com seu belo trio de Samba.
No espaço onde o evento ocorria, há um café ao ar livre onde as pessoas podem parar e sentar nas mesas para aproveitar melhor o passeio, tomar um café, uma água e seguir o caminho.
Me diverti bastante durante a manhã em que visitei a exposição, pude apreciar as obras de Adriana Gaspar, as rendeiras trabalhando e o trio de samba de Helo Gonzaga. E obviamente, aproveitei para tirar diversas fotografias para ilustrar para todos vocês como foi essa manhã.
