Regarding the photo: Clint is so righteously badass. He's just like, "yeah I played myself in some movies, nothing to do with putting gas in the car."
I adore Clint's work.

Gran Trino was the name of this movie. Kind of film that makes a person think. The character was this really bitter and hardened Vet that was in Korea. Initially you can't help but think, this guy is a total racist. As you watch the film kind of says, at the end of the day there are no races really, just right and wrong. He protects that girl from those dudes, because what they were doing was wrong and helping her out was the right thing. He plays no favorites for the guy that girl was hanging out with initially either, tells that guy to take a hike. The character ultimately ends up sacrificing himself for the good of everybody living on his block. Like a way of saying, the right and the wrong are bigger than any way a person would think of to divide humanity. It's bigger than us all. Unite for the right, never mind the noise imposed by the very few, the very powerful and the very evil who love us to kill each other and play into their divide and conquer tactics. Very powerful and moving statement built into this film.

The Good The Bad And the Ugly, possibly one of the best films ever produced. The sound track along is incredible. It's almost a reflection of the Civil War, which some people have told me was largely about money. I can't tell you for sure if it was. In one part of the movie, they show all those people dead locked on either side of that bridge killing each other in mass scale. In the scene in that video, the three of them were all ready to kill each other, over Confederate money. The crazy wild irony there is that, Confederate money become worthless after it was all over.
This line of films I'm told were called the "Spaghetti Westerns." I'm thinking because they were made in Italy. Characterized by strong story lines, incredible sound tracks, gritty facial hair. Where as the American counter parts were typically about some one dimensional perfect good guy that was always perfectly clean shaven. So the Spaghetti Westerns would have what they call, allot more, verisimilitude or resemblance to real life.
I can only imagine what it would have been like to have seen this when it first came out. Possibly even on a big screen.
There is certainly something really surreal and real about Clint Eastwood.
