A Traditional Taste. Rice Pudding Recipe // Favorite Dessert Recipe of Our House

Hello Everyone

I'm going to write you a dessert recipe that is easy to make, light but very tasty today.

The name of our dessert is Rice Pudding. It is one of the most popular desserts in Turkish cuisine. Young children especially love this dessert.

In our family, my husband likes this dessert the most. I often make rice pudding for him.

This beautiful dessert is made with ingredients that everyone can easily find at home.

Necessary material for rice pudding

-1 liter of water
-1 liter milk
-Two glasses of granulated sugar

  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 packet of vanilla
    Also a glass of milk
  • 2 teacups of rice

First we wash the rice well. We put the washed rice and a liter of water in the pot. We cook until the rice is boiled. The more the rice is cooked, the better the consistency of our dessert will be.

After our rice is cooked sufficiently, we add a liter of milk to the pot. We continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the milk boils.
Rice needs to be cooked with a little milk. Thus, the taste of milk and rice will be completely intertwined.

Let the milk and rice in the pot continue to cook. We put three tablespoons of cornstarch and a glass of milk in a separate bowl. We mix it well. We add a scoop of milk rice cooked in a pot to this mixture. we mix it again. We pour this new mixture into the pot.

We continue to mix our dessert cooked in the pot. Meanwhile, we add the sugar and vanilla of our rice pudding to the pot. I added two glasses of sugar. If you like less sugar, you can add one and a half glass of sugar.

I definitely add vanilla to my milk desserts. The vanilla flavor suits desserts very well.

We cook our dessert until it has a thick consistency. When it reaches the consistency of pudding, we turn off the stove. While our dessert is hot, we pour it into the service bowls.

I wanted to cook some of the rice pudding in the oven. So I put some of it in casseroles. If you wish, you can fry the top of the rice pudding in the oven.

Here are the things you need to do to fry our rice pudding in the oven:
Place the rice puddings you have cooked in the oven on the upper side. Operate the top setting of the oven at 200 degrees. 10 minutes will be enough. When you see that the rice pudding is flushed, you can take it out.

You can serve it as baked rice pudding or plain rice pudding.
