Hello to everyone
After a short while, I'm finally with you again.
I had such a busy week that you'll agree when I tell you why I wasn't around.
I have said it many times before, now you know I live in Kilis. Kilis is a small city on Turkey's Syrian border. We can't find much to do social activities here. There isn't even a mall in the city. We usually go to Gaziantep on weekends. In the summer, we go to Hatay Iskenderun. For a few years, my husband and I had plans to buy a house in Hatay. We wanted to spend a month there, which is our holiday in summer. Finally, we realized that plan last week. However, it was a bit of a hassle.
We were planning to rent a house in Çanakkale for the summer vacation. When we saw the price of rental houses, we decided to buy a house. It was a different decision-making process. When I talked to my husband about this issue, there was a week like 10 a week before the Ramadan holiday. We wanted to speed up the work and spend the holiday in Iskenderun. We immediately started looking for a house online. House prices skyrocketed. We had to set a bigger budget than we thought.
We decided on only two houses from the advertisements on the Internet. In fact, even they weren't quite inside us. The whole family set out with the hope that we would find it when we left. Even my mother was with us. my two children, my mother, me and my husband, we toured a few houses with real estate agents all day. But we didn't like any of them. It was in the air now, and it was late in the afternoon. Just as I was returning home, an ad came to mind. I immediately called the agent. He closed his shop and went home. I explained that we had come from a 2-hour drive and I insisted. He eventually agreed and met with us to show us the house.
**Great... we finally found the house we were going to buy.
We talked to the real estate agent right away and we agreed. We returned to Kilis tired.
On Monday, we sent the deposit of the house to the real estate agent and immediately applied for a loan with the title deed information.
Realtor, banker, everyone said that it was not possible to complete the transactions in 5 days, but we insisted that we wanted to spend the holiday there. We finished our transactions at the bank on Monday. Our expert report came out on Wednesday and finally our loan was approved on Thursday. The bank clerk said it was a big chance.
After coming home from school on Thursday, my whole evening was spent preparing things. We set off early on Friday and arrived in Iskenderun after a 2-hour journey.
This time my mother was not with us. She had returned to İzmir that week.
We met with the realtor and we finished the transactions in a short time. The house was ours now, and the part I've described so far was the easy part.
The first thing we did was turn on the electricity and water of the house. Due to a mishap we experienced, these things took longer than we expected. A few hours before 17.00 we were finally able to finish our transactions.
The child was very tired and hungry, so we went to a mall near our new house and had dinner. The view from the terrace of the shopping mall was magnificent. We as a family love the sea, but even those who do not like the sea as much as we do will like this view very much.
We rested a little while we ate. It was also nice to dine in front of the beautiful view.
Seeing the sea definitely gives you peace of mind.
After the meal, the fun but most tiring part of the job started. We had to look for things for the house. It was a few hours before the shops closed. We went to as many stores as possible. However, sofa sets could always be delivered at a later date. So we decided to look into second-hand shops. We bought our first business sofa set. We were lucky again, we found a model exactly as we wanted. The way he was small was exactly as we had planned. Being second hand made me a little uneasy. That's why we called a washer and had the seats washed. Thus, we have solved this problem as well.
Then we went home and cleaned all evening. Fortunately, our house was only 45 square meters.
That night, we lay down our wool mattresses that we brought from Kilis and slept on it. We left home early the next day. Stores might be closed on Sunday. It was our last day to purchase the remaining missing items. We wandered around the stores for items all day. We bought a refrigerator, a wardrobe and a washing machine. We also bought two folding beds. Now it took a while to write them here, but it took us all day to find these items.
Our Sunday was spent cleaning the house by placing the items we bought. On Monday, the first day of my baura, the holiday started for us. The location of our house is in a very nice place, very close to the beach. Walking distance.
I will now prepare posts with lots of sea view photos for you. That's it for today, friends.
Thank you for taking your precious time to read my post.
