It was just an ordinary afternoon but when I stepped at Korum, it was a relaxing experience not to mention the soothing ambiance with a side of delicious foodies.
When I reached my destination, I was so amazed at its architectural design. The classic and modern combination of its building made me thrilled to get inside. The ambiance may be luxurious but the food here is affordable.
Upon entering, I learned from the cozy signage that the entrance is 150 pesos or 8.98 dollars which is consumable. And they are open until 10 pm. The place is located around St. Ignatius Enclave, Xavier Estates along South Diversion Road, Upper Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.
The signage informs everyone to pay while ordering with a three percent service charge. It was a smoke-free place since smoking is not allowed and pets are allowed with diapers too. I entered at the gates with a warm welcome from the staff and I was given tickets.
Korum is a place where businessmen unite. There were varieties of foods and drinks served by tenants just as Kawa Seafood, Tia Marias, Bowerbird Coffee, and more.
I was so delighted when I entered upon seeing an overlooking place to dine. I captured quick snapshots while taking a selfie. It was so cool and I am so enchanted to see scenic views. I never thought there was a place like this in the city.
There were a variety of chairs made from wood and steel but I preferred sitting on the wooden tables. I chose the area fronting the overlooking spot. What a great feeling sitting at the table while looking at the spectacular view of the sky. I so love the different cloud formations and the blue sky even made the moment priceless.
Among the foodies available at the restaurant, I chose Kawa sea foods and soft drinks. The tickets were still with me and I was given the waiting number 1 while the chef was still preparing the food for lunch.
I found a great angle capture from my table toward the fantastic view of the sight. I paused for a while while feeling the moment and I must say that I love the cool wind making my hair brushed up.
The utensils were given first containing the plates, bowls, spoons, and forks, together with a canned soda and a glass full of ice cubes. I had a quick shot of the amazing view in the background while I was at my table.
After a while, the staff served my orders at the table and there were two cups of rice, a plate of mixed seafood, and Tinolang Isda.
I ordered these foods since I wanted soup for lunch. Filipinos like me love to have soups at this time of the day. And ordering seafood added more taste to my buds.
Before eating, I captured the dishes at the table and they all looked delicious even without tasting them beforehand. And when I started eating, I so enjoyed what I ordered because they were all tasty.
Tinolang Isda
The Tinolang Isda is a Filipino term for a fish soup. Tuna was used by the restaurant mixed with cabbage, and a variety of spices like ginger, lemongrass, onion chives, onion, pepper, and seasoning.
The soup was so delicious with fresh tuna cubes. I often cook like this at home but I am using another variety of fish. I always love soups when the fish is fresh. Indeed, this menu was good and I love how it was cooked.
Mixed Sea Foods
Mixed seafood is my favorite in Kawa. I do remember the yummy taste of the dish with the presence of fresh Tahong or green shells, octopus, squid, and shrimp. It was truly so delicious while being blended with spices and seasoning.
I was so satisfied with my order and I hope to be back for another palatable menu. I did not order more since I was so full but I never left the place without capturing a lot of stolen moments.
Perhaps Korum is the best overlooking spot to have lunch or dinner with family and friends. Honestly, I loved hanging out here. This is a must-place to explore for chilling out with a breathtaking and scenic view.
