Hello everyone and good day to you all. I hope you are having a great day 😁.

This is blog is my entry for this weeks POBPhoto Contest by @friendlymoose with the Theme of Metal.

Honestly I was already planning on doing this post just after he announced the theme for this week. Since the theme was METAL I wanted to do some macro photography with my lovely lucky frog that I've had with me for 15 years I guess. I really believe that this frog is the reason why I am somewhat lucky with my life despite the challenges that I face on a daily basis.

Anyways I really don't want to repeat myself so much coz it might count as a content reuse or recycle by the hivewatchers. You can just read my Actifit post here to know the details on what happened yesterday and why my plan was shockingly changed.

I really wanted to have a photo with a metal foreground, subject and background just because the theme is metal. It was much easier said than done though as I didn't know that it was so hard to put some foreground in a macro shot. Plus it's hard to put a metal background on an open space where clouds can be seen. So I decided to just go with the flow. I changed the position of my model many times putting it in the different spots of the backhoe taking shots and looking at it if it's usable or not.

To be quite honest I love all the shots that I got yesterday with my lucky frog. But the first one really is probably the best out of all in my eyes. I think the reason why I felt it was the right one because it not only ticked all the boxes for me. It contains a lot of the basic compositional rules like the Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines, Contrast Separation and lastly those lovely Bokeh which honestly is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get using an entry level bridge camera. It also has the metal foreground that I was desperate in getting into my shot. Although it didn't have the metal background that I really wanted, but honestly I feel like this is the perfect background for him. He has quite a dark contrast so having that light blue background makes him pop like winner if you ask me.

Also for me no matter where I look at the picture it will always lead me to the lucky frog which I would honestly consider as a winner. What do you guys think? I really want to have an expert opinion on this since I am just new to photography overall. I've only really learned compositional rules probably a month ago so I'm quite curious if I made it right or I was wrong.

Like I said all of the shots I got yesterday were great shots in my eyes. I was really having a hard time which one of these shots I should submit as the entry for this week. I just hope you guys like these shots and please do drop your comments if you like them. If you don't like them then please also drop a comment on why. I'm honestly trying to learn photography even though I'm a little dumb when it comes to creativity 😅😂

Anyways that is all for me today guys. See you on the next one. Cheers! 😎

It looks like those frogs that have a coin in their mouth.

Yes it is, it's a chinese belief and I believe it too I guess since this guy has been with me for 15 years already 😅🤣
