This post, I would like to present the hot and spicy menu which is Chili catfish curry with betel leaves that is spicy from curry paste especially for chili curry, spicy and hot from pepper and the fragrance of the betel leaves which is a local vegetable that many people like in the smell and taste. We can be eaten fresh, such as eating with Miang Kham will help digestion and nourishment. The betel leaves contain essential oils that cause a pungent smell. And has nutrients that are important to the body, Especially calcium and vitamin A, which are especially high. In the back of my house it grows naturally without insects, does not need care, watering or fertilizing. During this period, it rained so many peaks and beautiful leaves. So I brought the recipe to share with everyone.
Ingredients
Catfish 300 grams
Betel leaves 100 grams.
Chili curry paste 1 tablespoon.
Shrimp paste 1 tablespoon.
Fish sauce 1 tablespoon.
Sugar 2 teaspoons.
Seasoning powder 1 tablespoon.
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon.
Water 1 liter.
Procedure
Step 1
Prepare catfish. Actually, we can use any kind of fish, But I like catfish because the meat is sweet, It has a fine and firm texture. I bought this catfish for 200 baht per kilogram. It is fresh from the market. I wash the catfish with salt water several times to clear the blood, mucus and deodorize fishy. Finished, and set aside to drain.
Step 2
Pick the betel leaves from the betel tree. Choose leaves that are not too young or too old. Wash thoroughly, Even though it is a non-toxic vegetable, it must be washed to remove dirt and dust. Finished, and then cut into coarsely shredded, Set aside.
Step 3
Pour the water into a pot followed by Chili curry paste and shrimp paste. Set on the stove to boil.
Step4
Add the Catfish and wait until cooked, add betel leaves, flavor as desired. I add fish sauce, sugar, seasoning powder and lemon juice. Finished, ready to serve.
