I am a firm believer that who else you can trust and who can get you out of your own problems is you and God himself (if you believe in yourself, that is enough).
Do not trust the words that someone else dedicates to you; Do not entrust your destiny to chance, better decide it yourself, because you do not know whose land you ask for on the road that a strange line for you.
I know of many older people who tell how attached they were to buying stones, acquiring incense of certain types, expensive perfumes, figurines and prayer cards; They confessed to being very attached to certain surreal habits, recommended by people who call themselves "witches" with the promise of being these rituals to attract good fortune, love, health and money.
It should be said that none of this served them, other than to lose a large amount of their lives, time and money.
I fortunately cut all interest in that; I remember being very curious before about the things of the horoscope, as the stars indicate what things awaited you in the day, and what others awaited you in the year. In the long run, I stopped believing in it, since they were just a series of possible scenarios that anyone with a certain personality can experience.
The word is powerful.
There is a practical exercise that is widely repeated and recommended by people dedicated to helping people with low self-esteem and have a complex image of themselves: they say that, five minutes a day, look in front of the mirror, appreciate yourself, and recite looking into your eyes positive aspects of your person. The long-term goal is to make those positive messages noticeable in you and your life. In the same way that repeated positive messages full of good vibes can change your life, negative messages and strong beliefs will bring the same thing to your life and affect your day to day as if it were a thing of witchcraft.
