Hi, I'm Paul, an aspiring graphic designer/illustrator.
Thank you for the big support you have given me in my last blog. The rewards given to me by the community leads me to have more Hive Power to upload and create more interesting content in the future.
In my free time, I'm studying different techniques to further develop my skills for my career.
I'm currently in the final stages of my thesis for this semester, and our group is conducting a pre-survey for our project. With your help, I'm reaching out to request your participation in a pre-survey for our project, "Kalye Siete: TAPIS," an interactive 2D animation exploring self-identity.
You can participate in our survey here.
Your insights will be invaluable in helping us create a truly engaging and meaningful experience for our future participants. Thank you for your time and consideration.
MY ART REFERENCE
For this weeks art contest, I decided to create a fan illustration of Continuum Seer, a rare type monster from the fire element. It has two skills which are the Backfire where if an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage and Phase where the magic attack can miss this Monster based in the calculations. What I like about this card is it has the armor stats where it is immune to the first attack by a melee or range type monster.
MY ART PROCESS
I created a rough sketch of what I visualized of the Continuum Seer. Because it is a magic type monster, I based the idea on the reference image in the Splinterlands page. After I finish the sketch, I follow it up with the official line art until I'm satisfied with the results.
On the coloring processing, I'm still basing the color palette from the original for the art. I started coloring from the head to the lower part, and last to the magic apparatus.
You can view the GIF version of my coloring process below.
