Hi guys right now I am in Calabria exactly in Pizzo or better Pizzo, size in town of about 10,000 inhabitants in the province of Vibo Valentia and then you will see in the last photo what I will be able to taste in this beautiful country something that is produced only in this area.
Pizzo calibro is a beautiful seaside village overlooking the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria and practically perched on a beautiful promontory along the famous coast of the gods but what is striking about this village is certainly its streets and alleys
Truly impressive these houses that you see in the photo all leaning against each other and a half stands out with its beautiful castle reminiscent of Tropea
I was also able to photograph its beautiful beach from the top of the country and you can see how many shades of blue a truly beautiful thing has in the sea.
Among other things, I realized that much of the beach is completely free and accessible to all. In fact, here everyone brings their own umbrella from home.
Unfortunately the castle was closed and apparently it cannot be visited at this time and in fact I noticed that it is a bit neglected because of all the weeds that have grown over the walls.
In the upper part of the village there is a beautiful panorama around the lower part of the country.
At the end of all this walk I was able to taste the typical product of Calabrian pastry but especially of the Pizzo Calabro area and the legendary lace truffle is one of the excellences of the area
Just think that they told me it was the first ice cream in Europe to have obtained the IGP mark thanks to the quality of its products and the fact that it is a production made entirely by hand and you think it already existed in the nineteenth century because the part of the South Italy was already famous all over the world for the production of both pastry and ice cream.
