Lo que puedo aportar de mí
Esta es una pregunta cuya respuesta puede cambiar dependiendo de la etapa de la vida en que nos encontremos. Lo maravilloso es que algunas personas parece que vinieran a esta vida con un propósito muy claro de lo que van a aportar mientras otras lo vamos aclarando en el camino.
En diferentes etapas de la vida me he establecido propósitos. Hablando con mi hija sobre este tema, ella me decía: "esos no son propósitos, son objetivos que nos planteamos, por ejemplo, estudiar una carrera, tener una familia, etc." Es cierto, pero esos objetivos pueden ayudarnos a alcanzar propósitos más trascendentales.
A la pregunta que nos hace @damarysvibra Lo que puedo aportar de mí, yo lo veo como ese propósito, ese sentido de vida que va más allá que cumplir metas.
Hay una frase del poeta cubano José Martí (1853-1895), que dice Hay tres cosas que cada persona debería hacer durante su vida: plantar un árbol, tener un hijo y escribir un libro. Yo imagino que el poeta trató de resumir en pocas palabras el propósito de la existencia.
Cuando leí esta frase por primera vez estando joven, ya había plantado varios árboles. Me faltan dos cosas, pensé. Pasaron los años y tuve mi primer hijo, ya solo me falta escribir un libro. En mi trabajo publiqué varios artículos científicos, es decir ya he cumplido con todo y ahora, ¿qué voy a hacer, ¿que sigue?
Es una frase que tiene varias formas de interpretar: la literal y la simbólica, que es la que va más allá, es el significado que cada persona puede darle a cada palabra según su visión de la realidad.
Tener un hijo, implica cuidados y responsabilidad. El hijo representa dar amor en el mayor sentido de la palabra, sin esperar nada a cambio.
El árbol para mí representa el respeto a la vida,a la naturaleza a la que pertenecemos.
Escribir un libro para mí significa las enseñanzas, lo que aportamos a otros basados en nuestra experiencia y conocimientos.
Y es aquí donde, volviendo a la pregunta Lo que puedo aportar de mí, puedo decir que cada acción y meta conduce a otras que le dan sentido y continuidad.
Ser madre de cinco hijos, le ha dado a mi vida un gran propósito porque no solo los cuide cuando eran niños y aprendí con ellos a dar amor, a sentir la gran responsabilidad de ayudarlos a ser felices, amorosos, sanos, respetuosos de la vida de otros seres, lo que en esos momentos considere que era lo mejor con las herramientas que tenía.
En estos años he comprendido que, aunque cada uno de ellos ha seguido su camino, yo puedo continuar ayudándolos cuando ellos lo necesiten. Ellos saben que pueden encontrar en mí un apoyo, una palabra de aliento, un mensaje de alegría, una manera de analizar un situación o un problema que deben solucionar. La distancia no es un obstáculo.
He ido preparándome para ser una persona más consciente de mis debilidades y fortalezas y cómo poder superar los miedos, la culpa y otras emociones negativas que no nos permiten ser felices. En la medida en que yo me siento en calma y consciente de mí misma, podré ayudar a otros y algo que es muy importante: mantener la unión familiar. Este es un propósito fundamental
Muchos de los problemas de la sociedad vienen arrastrándose de generación en generación, de familia en familia. Son traumas, creencias limitantes, resentimientos que deben detenerse. Contribuir a limpiar de estos aspectos negativos a las nuevas generaciones, es ayudar a construir una sociedad más feliz, sin violencia, en equilibrio con la naturaleza. Un granito de arena puede llegar a ser una montaña porque se multiplica por cada persona que ayudo, por cada palabra o idea que expreso para generar un cambio en la manera de ver la vida.
Mi profesión de ingeniero agrónomo me ayudó a comprender la importancia del equilibrio ecológico para poder vivir en una sociedad más sensible al ambiente. No somos dueños de la naturaleza a la que usamos de manera muy egoísta, insensible e irresponsable. He tratado de ayudar a cambiar esta manera de ver la producción de alimentos, a través de talleres, cursos y actividades con las comunidades, sobre tecnologías sustentables o simplemente hablando con las personas sobre estos temas.
Ser amable con los gatos y perros que viven en mi comunidad, ayudar a alimentarlos y cuidarlos, me ha generado un sentimiento de empatia, de conexión con estos seres, de amor. Ellos están allí y tienen derecho a estar. Estoy consciente del compromiso que esto significa y lo he asumido así. Creo que lo importante es pasar del pensamiento a la acción, de la indiferencia a la solidaridad.
Puedo aportar de mí cada día cuando hago acciones por amor y eso es lo que le da un propósito a mi vida.

In these years I have understood that although each one of them has followed their own path, I can continue to help them when they need it. They know that they can find in me a support, a word of encouragement, a message of joy, my way of seeing the situation.
I have been preparing myself to be a person more aware of my weaknesses and strengths and how to overcome fears, guilt and other negative emotions that do not allow us to be happy. To the extent that I feel calm and aware of myself, I will be able to help others and something that is very important, to maintain family unity. This is a fundamental purpose.
Many of society's problems are carried over from generation to generation, from family to family. They are traumas, limiting beliefs, resentments that must be stopped. To contribute to cleanse the new generations of these negative aspects, is to help a happier society, without violence, in balance with nature. A grain of sand can become a mountain because it is multiplied by each person I help to change their way of seeing life.
My profession as an agricultural engineer helped me to understand the importance of ecological balance in order to live in a society that is more sensitive to the environment. We are not the owners of nature which we use in a very selfish, insensitive and irresponsible way. I have tried to help change this way of seeing food production, through workshops, courses and activities with the communities, about sustainable technologies or simply talking to people about these issues.
Being kind to the cats and dogs that live in my community, helping to feed and take care of them. They are there and they have a right to be there.
I am aware of the commitment this means and I have assumed it as an act of love. I believe that the important thing is to move from thought to action.
I can give of myself every day when I do actions out of love and that is what gives purpose to my life.
