"Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder"

The rules of the Democratic party make it almost impossible to replace Biden atop the ticket unless he voluntarily steps aside. Biden currently has 3,894 of the nearly 4,000 estimated pledged delegates so far, most of whom are required to stick with him through the first round of voting, which will be held virtually online ahead of the Democratic National Convention. Some 25% of delegates at the convention would be needed to hold a vote opening the way to another candidate’s chance to be the nominee. That remains very unlikely.

I find the Pollyannas annoying. If folks would just actually look, they'd see, and if they saw, they'd realize we need to get busy keeping house before we get kicked out. Only half of Americans are very dissatisfied when it should be 102% (including some illegals not counted in the census).

Thanks!

Yep, many Pollyannas in USA are just a bunch of bamboozled optimists without foundation. But the worst of all is that among them there are also alot of blind positivists who have already reached the level of being plain nihilists of reality.

So, I suspect that it would have been very good for them to maintain, conserve and cultivate some of the British phlegmatic humor and especially their defensive pessimism from when they were one of their old colonies.

Marmite is far too expensive to squander slathering it all over yourself. That's like buying a convertible in England!

Marmite

I'm intrigued, and trying to find some here in the USA.
