Now that I am retired, I have more time to write. The problem is sometimes I can't think of what to write. Since I am now enjoying my retired life, I thought that I can share with you some of the more interesting days.
For the 23rd of February, I have a physio appointment at the General Hospital. I am suffering from slipped and so I go to the hospital once in 2 weeks for my physio.
This is the newly completed mutli-storey car park and hotel at the hospital. Parking at the Sarawak general hospital used to be a nightmare. The completion of the multi-storey car park put the parking woes to an end. The hotel is now being used as a quaratine centre.
The ground floor of the multi-storey car park houses a food court. Visitors to the hospital can now dine in comfort.
There are many stalls in the food court and visitors are spoilt for choice.
There are many shops here as well as fast food joints and restaurants.
For the convenience of the public, there is a pharmacy here as well.
There is not much of a crowd in the waiting area. However to enter the premise of the hospital itself is a hassle, as there is a long queue of people waiting to have their temperature scanned and to register their presence.
After my hospital appointment, I went to my club for a swim. Swimming is recommended as it is a low-impact activity with the water supporting my body weight. I tried to go swimming at least 3 times a week.
After my swim, I went to the steam room for about 45 minutes. I am trying to reduce my weight and I hope that steam room can be a good solution. Here I will be able to sweat it out without the possibility of any sports injury. As usual, I have the whole steam room to myself as this is during office hours and the rest of the people are still busy working.
The locker and changing rooms are very nice.
That night I went to Friendship Park with my wife and son for a brisk walk. I am so lucky that the Park is located right opposite my house. I forgot to take any photos and so I don't have any photos to share.
There you have it, a day of my retired life. I am enjoying it so far but I must admit that I still miss my working life. If you are retired, how would you spend your day?
