Loneliness is different from being alone #qc contest.

Hello beautiful people of #qc community,am glad to take part in this contest,the topic about loneliness and and being alone is an interesting one.
I believe there's a huge difference between being alone and feeling lonely because it is possible to be alone without feeling lonely.and feeling lonely is worst than being alone.

To be alone is when a person stays without anyone around,but is comfortable being alone,
it's possible to have fun,be at peace with yourself and be happy when you are alone.

Most times I stay alone and am comfortable with just me,no interactions,no regrets,no disturbances,
i take time to rest, meditate, and to do things without distractions.
And i see myself enjoying my privacy.
I believe there are some benefits when a person is alone without feeling lonely.

But to be lonely is beyond the physical presence of someone being in the midst of people, because a lonely person can still feel lonely even in a large crowd of people.

I remember when i had postpartum depression, the first symptom i had was the act of feeling lonely, even when i was with my family and they were taking good care of me,i still felt bad,sad, depressed and alone,i felt no one understood me and i was in my world alone.

I strongly believe that loneliness is more of a phychological, mental and emotional issues.
It is hard for a lonely person to find happiness.
they feel trapped in their world and they are always depressed.
There are a lot of consequences and health issues that comes from loneliness and loneliness should be avoided if possible.

How i overcame loneliness and the advice i can give

  • The first step i took in fighting loneliness was to change my mindset:
    I had to maintain a positive mindset,i viewed life as a blessing and i made up my mind to live it happily ,
    You can change your negative thoughts into positive thoughts it may be hard but be intentional about it.

  • Seek for that one thing that can make you happy, maybe activities or hobbies,don't wait on people to validate you because they may not understand you and they may mistakenly make matter worst.
    In my case i love watching movies and during my lonely times i decided to watch some nice movies.

  • Try helping someone else:
    I know it's always hard to render help when you are in a tight situation,but helping someone else brings good feelings to the soul.
    I remember when i felt depressed due to loneliness and a friend of mine told me she was depressed,i went all out just to make her happy and in the process of helping her my joy returned.

  • Intentionally try to be comfortable with your own company.
    And above all have a mindset that loneliness can be overcomed.

Yeah this is totally the most important difference.

don't wait on people to validate you because they may not understand you and they may mistakenly make matter worst

Ufff this one is really good. Sometimes we desperately seek validation from others and when we don't get it we sink deeper into sadness and feelings of loneliness.
