Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. My post today is based on a religious place. This place is so supernatural that one feels the presence of Lord Shiva as soon as one comes here. Every time I post in the #worldmappin community, it's about a great location, be it a mountainous area, a museum or a garden. But my today's post is based on an Supernatural place named "Kedarnath". Even if you look at the photographs of today's post, you will be convinced that the goddess power is felt in this place. Presented to you in today's post is Kedarnath, the place of Lord Shiva. Today I will talk about Kedarnath in my post and discuss how to reach this place and what is the perfect time to visit this place.
In today's post, I have presented three photographs of Kedarnath temple with you. These photographs are taken outside the temple in the early morning. This photograph is not before sunrise and the temple doors have not even opened. So we are waiting to see Lord Shiva. In the above three photographs, I have captured the temple from three different places and presented it to you. Now let me talk a little about Kedarnath. Kedarnath is a famous pilgrimage place in Uttarakhand state of India. Which is located near the Himalayan mountains in Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state.
The first three photographs above were taken before sunrise, so the Himalayan peaks surrounding the temple were not visible. As soon as the sun rises, the surrounding Himalayan ranges start to shine with its first rays. The eeriness of this place also increases with sunrise as can be seen in the above two photographs. Kedarnath is one of the four pilgrimage sites of India. These four Yatra Dhams also include Yamunotri, Gangotri and Badrinath. A road is also being constructed by the government to connect these four Yatra Dhams. But as this area is surrounded by the Himalayan mountain range, the task is a bit difficult.
The view of the peak of the temple in the background of the mountain also looks beautiful. In the two photographs above, I have presented the peak of the temple to you in detail through photographs. Kedarnath is mainly known for its ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the main deities of Hinduism. The temple of Kedarnath is situated at an altitude of about 3,500 meters. And the Jyotirlinga located in this temple is one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva located in India. These twelve jyotilings are sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.
In the two photographs above, the sun's light falls on the top of the Himalayas to reveal the glittering peaks of the Himalayas. Surrounded by high mountains and picturesque landscapes on all sides, this temple Kedarnath offers breathtaking natural scenery. Looking at these scenes, one feels that we have reached heaven. The area is rich in flora and fauna. Kedarnath is also part of the wildlife sanctuary.
In the above three photographs, Kedarnath temple has been captured from different angles and presented to you. Now here I will share with you as many mythological things as I know about this place. According to Hindu mythology, after the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas go to Lord Shiva to atone for their sins. Lord Shiva transforms himself into a bull to avoid them. And hides inside the ground. But Bhima who was one of the five Pandava brothers was able to identify Shiva's place. To whom the back of a bull appeared in Kedarnath. And the bull's head is believed to have appeared at Pashupatinath in Nepal. So Kedarnath is considered as an important place for worshiping Lord Shiva.
Thousands of pilgrims come here to have darshan of Lord Shiva. In the first of the three photographs above, which is the side line of the temple, the devotees enter the temple. And takes advantage of Lord Shiva's darshan. While in the other two photographs, the pilgrims can be seen sitting in the courtyard of the temple. Joins Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. It is said that after the birth of Parvati, he performed penance here to win the heart of Shiva. Impressed by his devotion, Lord Shiva appeared before him. And gave him darshan at this place so that this place became holy.
This place is still the auspicious land of thousands of sages. Monks come here and do penance even in bad conditions. Which makes this place more and more sacred. To reach Kedarnath one has to climb the mountain by stairs. The nearest airport is in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. From Dehradun you can take a taxi to reach Gaurikund, the last motorable point before Kedarnath. Once you reach Gaurikund, Kedarnath is a 16 km trek between and over mountains. Which can be done by hiring a palanquin or helicopter service. which runs during the pilgrimage season. The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is around 6-8 hours. According to me it should be done early in the morning.
The Kedarnath temple is open for darshan from late April to early November. Because it is closed during severe winter months due to heavy snowfall. Kedarnath is not only a spiritual place but also a place of stunning natural beauty and rich mythology. Whether you are looking for spiritual solace, Kedarnath offers a unique experience.
