Completing the story quest in Silver Ridge Peaks

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

I have hunted a lot in theHunter: Call of the Wild. I think I have been playing it on and off for almost two years now. I have tried all the reserves and even bought many DLC reserves in this period. The one that you don't own can be played in multiplayer sessions. But these don't give you the story mission, which you can only do after purchasing the DLC and doing the solo runs.

I bought Silver Ridge Peaks very early, it was my second DLC map purchase after the Vurongha Savannah. Both of these are great maps to hunt a lot of animals and make quick cash too. I did a lot of story missions but kind of got bored from doing those. It was more fun to just hunt whatever comes in your way.

Most of the missions are hunting-related but this reserve is unique and doesn't have many hunting ones. Most of them were more like investigating missing people or helping in finding the culprits who tried to sabotage the image of the reserve by doing various things.

It has been long since I did any mission and I had no idea how many were left. The one that I continued was about investigating someone who tried to sabotage the image of the reserve. We had a suspicion of a person who tried to take revenge for something (I am forgetting what was the thing exactly).

Anyway, we were tasked to investigate a spot. I picked up my ATV and drove to that place. There were some tracks which we needed to follow. We found some footprints and blood marks on the tree trunks. This was our only mission, after we saw the blood, I was advised to leave the place for the police. This was our only mission.

I would have loved it if it was more of hunting tasks than some police work...lol.

Soon, the warden told us that the police found the culprits with injury to their hands. So, I guess this investigation is over.

The Ascent

This was the final mission in this map. Again it was not related to hunting. But more of an exploration type of mission. We were tasked to climb the highest mountain in this reserve.

There was a festival coming up and the warden wanted us to retrieve an antic buried on top of the Silver Ridge Mountain. I didn't know this mountain's name is the Silver Ridge. And the funny thing is I have climbed this peak already. I have been hunting in this reserve for so long and I have been to most of the places.

I remember it took me around half an hour to get to the top of the mountain. But that time I was carrying a tent with me which I placed at the top so I could travel there quickly.

But I still had to get to the base of the mountain to start this mission.

Right after reaching the base of the mountain, I opened the map and quickly travelled to the peak. I was not expecting it to work but it worked. There were more dialogues which indicated that it worked.

I took some pictures from here. It was the middle of the day and had a lot of clouds. The peaks were covered with a thick blanket of white clouds.

I took some more pictures during this mission. The final mission was not good, it should have been more challenging like hunting a rare animal or something like that... but I guess there were no missions like that on this map. I will continue the mission in Vurongha Savannah, where they were hunting mission.

Even though the story is a bit disappointing in Silver Ridge Peaks, hunting and exploring is really fun. I enjoy the views a lot here and this is easily in my top 3 maps in this game.

Until next shot...

Nice view. Good afternoon for today.

That feeling after finishing the story mode or all the missions of your game.

The good thing is that you can always visit the map to keep hunting and get a few more hours of gameplay. I have never played a hunting game, but I hope to try this genre soon.

I think there was one when I was little on the PS1, but I remember seeing it on a friend and trying it out. It wasn't mine, so I still have that feeling that I haven't played this genre yet.

Lol, the first guy I am seeing who wants the mission more challenging. Isn't it enough that you completed it? Good luck for the future journey.

I love the pictures you take of all the reserves. I haven't completed missions for a long time, I just hunt and hunt with my colleague, and explore the points of interest.

I like Silver Ridge Peaks very much, there are lots and lots of animals. I also like Savanna a lot.

This time you got to be the police patrol but other times you are the vermin killer XD.
