I had woken up this morning feeling like my head was about to split in two, almost like someone had hit me on the head with a big stick.
Last night, I had decided to do something random, something that I haven't done ever since I was admitted into this school, I attended one of the school's social event.
I had overheard some girls at my hostel talking about a modeling event that was being hosted by some students that was going to take place that night. Now usually, whenever I hear about things like this, I always pay little to no attention to it because it has never been an interest to me...but this year, one of the things I said I was going to do was get out of my comfort zone and do things I normally wouldn't do, I mean live a little rather than just sit at home and do nothing.
So I had found a way to get some of the guys at my hostel to agree to go with me (because the last thing I was going to do was go alone) and we all had left the hostel some time past 11pm that night.
The plan had been to go and come back before 3am. One of us had a car so getting home by that time wasn't going to be a problem, but somehow we had stayed till 6 in the morning. That was one of the few times where I stayed up all night without closing my eyes or even feeling sleepy.
The event was fun, it was my first time attending so everything felt new and exciting to me. And for some reason, some of the guys were feeling generous and got me whatever drink I wanted and that was the beginning of the end for me.
I had taken so much drinks that it got to an extent that I just knew that the repercussion for my actions was going to be a terrible one way before it even started. So I tried to kinda gear myself up for it, I tried to get ready for the after effect, but tryst me when I say that nothing prepared for what I felt in the morning.
Thankfully, I had people around who helped in getting the necessary things to help me get better. Did I regret my actions, yeah I did and I probably would never do that again, but I had fun and that to me is all that matters...trying something new and having fun with it.
