Blowing my trumpet (a little bit)

in #hive-1538508 days ago

You know how they say that life flashes before your eyes just as you're about to take your final breath, well I had one of those, only this time, it wasn't because I was about to die but because the year is about coming to an end.

I sat in my room earlier today when all of a sudden a wave of flashbacks hit me. I thought about how this year had started (work-wise) and how it's about to end...and forgive me for saying this but I don't really blow my trumpet much, so I just might be doing that tonight (a little bit).

First of all, if there's one thing that has proven to be effective in whatever you do, it is consistency. I say this because over the years, I've brought a lot of people here on Hive to show them what I do, so that they too could become a part of it. But each time, they all run away, talking about how stressful it is.

Funny enough, I don't find it stressful at all. I've gotten so used to the work I do here that most times, my brain works on its own without me having to give it any command. And that is because I've become so consistent to the extent where it doesn't seem like work anymore, it's just another of my daily routine.

That is why I've been able to write even in the most craziest environment and most uncomfortable places...places like in a wedding, sitting right next to a loud speaker at a party, in a gathering with friends, in a room party, etc.

This is why I would like to applaud myself, having written over 344 blogs in 345 days that has gone so far. And the only reason why I had missed a day was because it was one of my closest friend's birthday that day.

I had dedicated all of that day to him that somehow I had forgotten about the blogs for a minute. The funny thing was that I didn't forget nothing on my birthday but I guess that just shows how much love I've got for him.. Lol

Anyways, it's been an amazing year on here and I will be back soon to give a proper appreciation blog on how amazing most of you guys have been to me this year.. I guess for now, this blog is just all about me and how hard I've worked to come this far.

I wouldn't have done it without you guys, of course... I also wouldn't have done it without me too.

LOL.....

You are one of the active author in this platform. I also tried to reamain active but I l also missed 6/7 days because of internet blackout of my country during the time of protest.

Yeah I remember the protest and how serious it was for you guys.

This is why I would like to applaud myself, having written over 344 blogs in 345 days that has gone so far.

This is an awesome achievement!!! 🥳🥳
I don't mind saying that being consistent pays more than the effort put in. A lot of people I put onboard in hive always leave within a month saying they can't do it; ; it's too stressful, it's this or that. But I who has committed myself to it, find it very easy to write my posts, read others and engage in the platform.

That's what being consistent brings to the table.. It makes the job looks too easy after a period of time.
