Who is the first person you would call when you are in trouble?
Anytime I find myself in trouble or encounter some kind of difficulty in my life and I need some aide. My first refuge will be any of my two favorite siblings.
It's a popular belief that parents do have their favorite child but no one talks about siblings having their favorite sibling. I'm the last child and I have four siblings before me but I'm more close to my sister and brother (the third and fourth born respectively) maybe because my other two older siblings attended a boarding secondary/high school so I didn't have that much bonding time with them compared to my favorite siblings.
And my favorite siblings have proven over time to be a safe space and refuge for me. Growing up anytime I get into trouble for my inactions I easily confide in them and they provide solutions for me instead of snitching on me to my parents like my older siblings.
Three days back I made a purchase in a grocery store and I tried paying with my debit card but my bank network wasn't stable and I wasn't with cash. I had to call my brother to make a transfer to the grocery store account which he did abruptly.
I hope not to get into any form of trouble but if I do I'm very certain that my favorite siblings have my back.
