1000 HIVE POWER!!!
Do you know how happy and excited I am to reach this milestone early this morning?
This is so small compared to those who have achieved more than this Hive power but I am very sure it is also another user's prayer or wish to get to this point.
I couldn't keep seeing that smile on my face this morning when I clicked the claim button and I saw I have gotten to 1000 Hive Power.
A big celebration at that for myself. Even though I might want to spend part in the future, at least this post would be proof that Princessbusayo already got to this stage and made such an amount of HP, considering how tough Hive Blockchain is.
I would say the decrease in the price of cryptocurrency (dip season) made it faster to accumulate more Hive Power because I noticed after seven days, that the HP is way too much than HBD.
HOW DID I GET HERE?
First thing first, IT HASN'T BEEN EASY.
Yea, that is the truth!!!
When I joined Hive last year in March, on the 30th precisely, I didn't give it my full time or attention, and that was because I saw it as the same as Steemit and I knew how the Blockchain was when I first started in the year 2016. I lost my keys when I joined Hive and that made me lose the account and didn't make me link it to my Hive account. I should be celebrating 6 years now, but that is gone anyway.
I didn't focus much on Hive because my mind was “It would take time to build my account”. I only concentrated on my other platform where I withdraw every day and do not wait after seven days to cash out.
Because of that, I was coming here and going offline for days, instead of giving my time here so I can at least be making the little I should be earning and also building my account gradually.
I think by that June, I joined the Newbies Initiative initiated by @starstrings01, @aliento and @theycallmedan. The activities built my account for that period as I was also a little active too but after then, my posts weren't receiving many upvotes, I left it but was only coming to post and leave.
Though I was engaging with the little I could then and my account was growing. From zero, it became something.
Then this year in March when I clocked a year old, I became a moderator for the EcoTrain community for a while before the admin decided to stop and closed up his account. Being a moderator changed my mind and made me so active that I wouldn't sleep till 2-3 am just by engaging on Hive and other platforms. I started falling in love and enjoying Hive.
When I wake up every morning and after doing my morning devotion which ends by 7 am, I will start engaging on Hive for almost two hours before going to engage on other platforms I was in. This continued.
I joined different communities and would always watch out for their challenges and contests. I have through this process, grown on this platform and I kept seeing my Hive Power increasing and I was so happy with the improvement.
My engagement brought me this far and I am so happy because, despite Hive being tough and not an easy place to make quick money, I was focused and determined to make it. After all, whenever I read people's posts of how they have achieved a lot through Hive, I would also wish for that and to God be the glory, I have benefited so much on this Blockchain.
I made my 1000 Hive Power through consistency in posting, engaging and participating in challenges and contests. I deprived myself of sleep many times because I am always awake trying to write my Challenge post and would also visit other people.
I haven't gotten to where I wished to be but I believe in one thing, Once you put your mind to something, you will surely achieve it just as Napoleon Hills' quote says..... “Whatever the mind conceives and believes, it will achieve.”
I will keep writing and doing what I know how to do best which is blogging. I will never relent but keep moving forward since I know that one day, with my effort, I will get there.
If I can do this, those behind me can do it too if you don't give up.

The most important thing on this blockchain for you to grow and make it to is engagement, joining good communities that host challenges and contests.
