What season are we designing? It's Christmas season and a moment of Joy and celebration with the belief that Christ was born and came to die for our sins. We all know the true birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, and there's no way we won't talk about the Saviour on a season like this because it's all about Him.
The other day, I watched the movie titled "Mary." Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ, and the movie is all about her life, how her parents - Joachim & Anne, had a delay in childbirth and how the father went up to the wilderness for 40 days to pray about it. His prayers were answered as the angel Gabriel came to deliver the message. The first pregnancy by Anne was the product of the virgin Mary, who was later given to the temple as a promise to God.
She was engaged to Joseph and seriously, I love the scene where both of them met at first. It was the angel who led Joseph to where Mary was when she was at the stream and how he boldly travelled to meet with her parents to ask her hand in marriage. With all that happened, they went through a lot, especially in the hands of the wicked King Herod, who claimed to be the king over Israel at that time, but in the end, our baby Jesus was born in a humble place - a manger, and that was how his birth has been celebrated till today.
This season is also that moment where we stay away from the hustle and bustle of life, away from the chaos of each day, all because we want to put food on the table and survive, but to be with our families and friends while we get excited to celebrate the amazing moment together.
And to the season and the prompt for the week, we have been tasked to design something creative, whether it's in the form of a card, banner or whatever. So, I thought of what to do, and I came up with something beautiful for a sweet Hivian - and not just a member of Hive but one who has come to be a wonderful friend to me.
Sometimes ago, I was so emotional when she told me how she described me as more than a friend but a sister, and the thought of making something sweet for her is one thing I would want to use in appreciating her availability throughout the year for me.
She's no other person than @nkemakonam89 and yes, she deserves this amazing card I designed for her. Here is my creation.
I designed this card using Photoshop 2019 software with the size 1080 X 1080. I have been playing with this software for a while now, and I just decided to try my skill out again, though I had to involve my brother, who is a designer and photographer, through video calls just to keep guiding me on what to do next. Below is the step-by-step process of how I began the creation, and the above is the outcome of it.
