From Hesitation to Action: Conquering Goals in 2024

Palagi ka na lang bang nag he hesitate at procrastinate na gawin yung mga bagay na gusto mo? Yung tipong may goal ka pero dimo alam kung kailan mo gagawin at kung papaano mo gagawin? Yung tipong alam mo naman kung paano ka mag i-is start kaso feeling mo hindi kapa handang simulan ito?

Ako madalas. Madami akong mga plans and goals sa buhay na hindi ko na naituloy dahil palagi akong nag hehesitate. Kadalasan naman nauumpisahan ko yung mga plans ko, pero sa middle parang na di distract nako at nakakalimutan ko nang ituloy.

Ilan sa mga plans na hindi ko natapos ay yung pag aaral ng foreign language, pag aaral ng bagong coding language, pag papayat at kung anu ano pa.

So nag isip ako at nag look back, ano nga ba ang mga reasons bat hindi ko na ituloy yung mga plano kong gawin ngayong 2023. In-annalyze ko kung bakit ba yung ibang goal ko nag fafail ako na ma achieve.

Always looking for Motivation

Madalas kasi nag aantay pa ako ng motivation sa buhay at na nonood ng mga motivational videos na nakaka enganyo naman talagang panoodin.
Ang napansin ko lang, kahit gaano pala kadami ang motivational viseos na panoodin ko, kung hindi ako mag make ng first step, wala din akong ma aaccomplish.

So ngayon, instead na manood ako ng motivational video, nilagay ko yung picture ng anak ko as wall paper ng desktop ko para lagi kong ma alala kung bat ako kailangan mag work hard.

Madalas hanap tayo ng hanap ng motivation at inspiration pero nasa tabi lang pala natin yung inspiration natin sa buhay

Too Much Planning

Para sakin, hindi maganda yung over planning na dumadating kana sa point na sobrang haba mo plina plan ang strategy para mag start hangang dika na naka start. Parang noong nag start ako mag aral online ng foreign language, gusto ko maintindihan ko agad yung foreign fil na pina panood ko eh 1 month palang naman ako nag aaral ng language na yun. Nahinto lang ako ng pag aaral dahil nahinto ako sa panood ng foreign series lately, hangang sa nakalimutan ko na.

Mali ang Reason behind the goal

May mga reasons kung bat may goal tayo, hindi tayo dapat gumawa ng goal dahil lang trip natin. Dapat yung reasons natin sa mga goals natin ay strong dahil kung hinde, madali lang para sa atin i give up ang goal natin sa buhay.

Example noong nag arala ko ng foreign asian language ay dahil gusto kong maintindihan yung pina panood ko. noong dumating ang time na hindi na ako gaano na nonood, nawalan nako ng interest na mag aral. Pero kung ang ginawa kong reason ay pwede ko itong gamiting skill as interpreter para kumita ng pera dahil maraming asian foreigners sa country namin, baka mas hindi ako nag give up sa pag aaral.

Walang Self Discipline

Tingin ko ito ang pinaka importante, yung disiplina, yung susundin mo strategy mo at susundin mo ang schedule mo. kasi kung gagawin mo lang ang goal mo kung kailan mo gusto at ang gagawin mo eh hindi base sa strategy at plan na ginawa mo, madaming oras ang masasayang mo.

Na alala ko noong nag papayat ako nitong 2023, ang target ko noong una ay wag kumain ng rice at kahit anong nag proproduce ng sugar sa katawan ko everyday tapos mag wowork out ako every 6PM ng hapon. noong unang week parang wala naman result pero hindi ako na discourage, sinunod ko pa din yung strategy ko at schedule ko. In 2 months from 85 ay napababa ko ang weight ko sa 73.

Yung discipline kasi tingin ko, yan ang isa sa malaking factor para ma reach mo ang goal mo. pwedeng hindi ka motivated para mag work out today, pero kung disiplinado ka, kahit wala ka sa mood mag wowork out kapadin at yung araw na yun may na accomplish ka.

Kaya bago dumating ang 2024, gumagawa na ko ng schedule para i divide ang oras ko at umpisahan ang mga bagay na gusto kong gawin.

Simple lang naman ang goal ko ngayong 2024

  • Ituloy ang pag aaral ng Asian Foreign Language
  • Mag start ng Live Affiliate Marketing sa ibat ibang App like Tiktok, Lazada at Facebook

If meron kang idea ngayon na gusto mong gawin next year, gawa ka lang ng rough plan at mag start ka na. Make sure na mag stick ka sa plan and schedule mo at huwag ma discourage kung wala agad result.

Are you constantly hesitating and procrastinating on doing the things you want? Do you have goals but don't know when or how to start? You know how to begin, but you feel unprepared to start?

I often find myself in this situation. I have many plans and life goals that I haven't pursued because I constantly hesitate. While I often start my plans, I tend to get distracted in the middle and forget to continue.

Some of the plans I haven't completed include learning a foreign language, studying a new coding language, losing weight, and more. So, I thought about the reasons why I haven't been able to follow through with my plans for 2023. I analyzed why some of my goals failed to be achieved.

Always looking for motivation

I used to wait for motivation in life and watch motivational videos that were truly inspiring. However, I realized that, no matter how many motivational videos I watched, I wouldn't accomplish anything without taking the first step.

Now, instead of watching motivational videos, I set a picture of my child as the wallpaper on my desktop to always remind myself why I need to work hard.

Often, we keep searching for motivation and inspiration, not realizing that our inspiration in life is right beside us.

Too much planning

For me, excessive planning is not good, reaching a point where I plan so much that I never actually start. The problem is that I keep researching and changing my initial plan as I gain more knowledge. We cannot know everything instantly about something; it's better to learn from our experiences.

For example, when I started as a graphic artist, I learned the basics and gradually expanded my knowledge.

Looking for Immediate results

One thing I noticed that distracts me is not seeing immediate results. It's normal for people to be impatient and want to see results quickly, which is not always feasible.

When I started learning a foreign language online, I wanted to immediately understand the foreign film I was watching, even though I had only been studying the language for a month. I stopped studying because I got distracted by watching foreign series, and I eventually forgot about it.

Wrong Reason behind the goal

There should be strong reasons behind our goals; we shouldn't set goals just for the sake of it. Our reasons for our goals should be compelling because, otherwise, it's easy to give up on them.

For example, when I learned a foreign Asian language, it was because I wanted to understand what I was watching. When I stopped watching, my interest waned. But if I had made my reason to use the skill as an interpreter to earn money, as there are many Asian foreigners in our country, I might not have given up on learning.

Lacks Self-discipline

I believe this is the most important factor: discipline. Following your strategy and schedule is crucial because if you only pursue your goal when you feel like it and without adhering to your plan, you waste a lot of time.

I remember when I was losing weight in 2023, my initial plan was to avoid eating rice and anything that produced sugar in my body every day, and I would work out every day at 6 PM. In the first week, it seemed like there was no result, but I didn't get discouraged. I continued to follow my strategy and schedule. In two months, I went from 85 to 73 kilograms.

Discipline is a significant factor in achieving your goals. You might not be motivated to work out today, but if you're disciplined, you'll do it even if you're not in the mood, and on that day, you'll have accomplished something.

So, before 2024 arrives, I'm creating a schedule to manage my time and start the things I want to do.

My goals for 2024 are simple:

  • Continue learning an Asian foreign language
  • Start live affiliate marketing on various platforms like TikTok, Lazada, and Facebook

If you have an idea you want to pursue next year, make a rough plan and start now. Make sure to stick to your plan and schedule and don't get discouraged if you don't see immediate results.
