"Let it be, that’s just how life" is. Since I was young, I’ve heard that from people.
I often hear it when I notice something wrong and point it out to someone.
I remember I had a friend before, and I pointed out what was wrong in his life that he needed to address. He told me, "Just let it be, that's just how it is." This friend often came to me to console him and talk about his problems, which kept getting worse. Five years ago, he was deep in debt, and now his debt has multiplied five times.
I told him, my advice is still the same, fix what I told you was wrong before. But his answer is always, "Just let it be."
The mistakes in our lives shouldn’t be ignored. The wrongs we notice in the world, even if they’re not directly affecting us, shouldn’t be ignored either.
It's like a small hole in the roof that you ignore because it’s not that big yet. But soon enough, that hole will become large, and you wouldn’t need to replace the entire roof if you hadn’t ignored it.
It’s the same in our society. We don’t call out the wrong things until the time comes when many are affected and influenced, making it impossible to correct.
Although I say this and know these things, I also know that I can’t do anything on a wide scale. All I can do is fix what I can control.
But who knows, maybe many will read this post of mine and realize that yes, a problem grows because we ignored it from the start when we could have fixed it.
