First and foremost I wish you all a Happy New Year all the way from the Lands Between! Yes, I've been playing a bit of Elden Ring lately, as you can see.
I would like to thank my friend @zonadigital21 not only for introducing me to this
gaming photo contest but also this wonderful new community! I'm sure many gamers, myself included, are just dying to share their aesthetic screenshots from their favorite games.
Here is a little background behind the photo.
My own screenshot shows me, using the power of my glowing crystal crown, to cast a visual spell that says "Happy New Year" along with a few energetic stars! Not to worry, those people around me are not dead, they are... um... sleeping! And that's not blood all over the ground, of course not! It is red wine, hence the red plastic cups littered everywhere. You see, we were staying up until midnight to celebrate the new year in gaming. Most of them did not make it. I mean they could not stay up long enough to toast the new year but drank their cups of wine nonetheless. One fella was even woken up by my unique spell there and shushed me. How rude!
You can see that I was playing online with the player Oogaaboogaaa (we installed a mod for seamless co-op as opposed to just summoning during boss fights). You might also notice I have 102627 souls, I mean runes. (Sorry, I treat this as a Dark Souls game.) To pass the time until midnight we were grinding, which is why I have so much. We are so overpowered that all that is barely enough to gain a single level. I put it towards Faith attribute because I want to have faith that this community will thrive!
And now that the new year is here it's time to make a resolution (and hopefully stick to it)! My gaming resolution is get healthier so that enemies cannot one-shot me. Yes, I'm a squishy mage A.K.A a 'glass canon'. I'm no rage quitter, but that doesn't mean I like to die.
All jokes aside, I think as a resolution I will consider gaming suggestions people give me with less scrutiny. More than one person suggested Elden Ring and I was extremely skeptical about it but it turned out to be a great game to play with friends. I just need to be less picky is all.
