Hi guys! Welcome to yet another new week of Splinterlands Art Contests!
What I decided to draw today is Meriput Magician, one of the new healers under the life element.
I chose Meriput Magician because she has an attack, and what’s nice about it is that it’s a magic attack. Her speed is also good because she has 3, which means she’s one of the first to attack when the battle starts.
So how did I draw this cute character?
The first thing I did was to draw a skeleton, of course, and then gradually added details similar to those of Meriput Magician.
I colored the outline because that’s where I applied the color and so I know immediately what colors I’m going to use.
After I finished outlining, I started filling in the colors. I just used the paint fill tool to quickly color the parts.
Once I finished coloring, I started adding shadows. I darkened the areas that should be dark and added light where I thought it should be.
I almost forgot that there’s a magic circle surrounding our character, so I made a circle shape and then blurred it.
For the background, I experimented with different brushes, and I chose the rough brush.
I also found a star brush, so I applied some stars and then blurred them and reduced the opacity.
I hope you liked my rendition of Meriput Magician. Join me again next week for my new entry.
