There are things in life that are implicit, we have to use certain capabilities of the mind to understand them. For example, if the sky is too gray, the weather is getting a little cold and there is a strong breeze, my mind tells me that it is probably going to rain. But in life there are things, or at least there is information implicit in more complex things that the mind does not detect so easily.

We have all lived experiences that in some way have an effect on us for better or worse. These experiences often forge our character, influence our decisions and the way we process information from the environment. In short, they make us see life as we see it. This happens almost without us realizing it or being aware of it. And sometimes it is that very thing that may not make the road to taking care of our mental health so easy.

Hay cosas en la vida que son implícitas, tenemos que usar ciertas capacidades de la mente para poder entenderlas. Por ejemplo, si el cielo está demasiado gris, el clima se pone algo frío y está pegando mucha brisa, mi mente me dice que posiblemente va a llover. Pero en la vida hay cosas, o por lo menos hay información implícita en cosas más complejas y que la mente no detecta tan fácilmente.

Todos hemos vivido experiencias que de alguna manera tienen un efecto en nosotros para bien o para mal. Esas experiencias muchas veces forjan nuestro carácter, influyen en nuestras decisiones y manera de procesar la información del entorno. En fin, nos hace ver la vida como la vemos. Esto sucede casi sin darnos cuenta o de que seamos conscientes de ello. Y a veces es eso mismo lo que puede que no nos haga tan fácil el camino hacia atender nuestra salud mental.

Although nowadays there is a lot of information about mental health, about the importance of taking care of it, many counselors and experts in the field, I think something that particularly has taught me a lot about mental health is my own experience.

One thing I learned about it is that emotional discomforts and illnesses bring information for us to attend to in some way. It's like a fever that warns you that you might have caught a cold.

Aunque actualmente hay mucha información sobre la salud mental, sobre la importancia de atenderla, muchos consejeros y expertos en la materia, creo que algo que particularmente me ha enseñado mucho sobre la salud mental es mi propia experiencia.

Algo que aprendí sobre esto es que los malestares y las enfermedades emocionales traen información para que las atendamos de alguna forma. Es como la fiebre que te avisa que posiblemente pescaste un resfriado.

For example, depression brings that information. Besides telling us that there are things from the past that could be affecting us, it also informs us of several things that a specialized doctor or therapist can tell us.

It is the same with anxiety. In addition to telling us that there may be too much of the future and worry, it brings up other information that a specialized doctor or therapist can tell us.

Please believe me, I am not a specialist in the matter, nor do I pretend to be one with my words, I am only writing from my experience.

Emotional ailments are as important as physical ailments and they also have a treatment or a way to take care of them. The same thing does not work for all of us, even if someone has the same diagnosis, for example. That is why the specialist is the one who guides.

Por ejemplo, la depresión trae esa información. Además de decirnos que hay cosas del pasado que nos pudieran estar afectando, también nos informa de varias cosas que un médico o terapeuta especializado nos puede decir.

Sucede igual con la ansiedad. Además de decirnos que puede haber exceso de futuro y preocupación, nos trae otra información que un médico o terapeuta especializado puede decirnos.

Por favor, créeme, no soy una especialista en la materia, ni pretendo serlo con mis palabras, solo escribo desde mi experiencia.

Los padecimientos emocionales son tan importantes como los físicos y también tienen un tratamiento o forma de atenderlos. No a todos nos funciona lo mismo, aunque alguien tenga un mismo diagnóstico, por ejemplo. Por eso, el especialista es el que guía.

Y en el caso de que si tengas que tomar un tratamiento, lo que te puedo decir es que mientras más pronto atiendas tu salud mental, más rápido lo dejarás, más rápido te recuperarás, más rápido verás los beneficios y más rápido podrás dejar esa experiencia atrás.

Hehe thanks, just base on experience that's why I can say this. In my head, thinking so much about those problems we have will make us feel worse. So instead of dwelling on it so much, I will just try to think differently and tried my hardest to feel better, as in the hardest trying as it is really not that easy (✿ ♡‿♡)

Como seres humanos nos cuesta aceptar en ciertas ocasiones que necesitamos ayuda y más aún el acudir al especialista de las emociones, sentimos que nos volvemos vulnerables y que no somos capaces de abrir nuestro corazón ante un extraño y peor aún ser medicado.
