All these busy little tin cans have been conquering the hearts of all ages for many years now. To be honest, I myself am a fan of robot sci-fi of almost any kind. R2-D2, Chappie and the robot from "Robot & Frank" are my special favorites. I like it when the robots do not take themselves too seriously.
With this post I would like to contribute a few of these hard-working little guys to the LMAC Image Library.

All die kleinen eifrigen Blechbüchsen erobern schon seit vielen Jahren die Herzen von jung und alt. Offen gesagt, bin ich selbst ein Fan von Roboter-SciFi fast jeglicher Art. R2-D2, Chappie und der Roboter von "Robot & Frank" haben es mir besonders angetan. Ich mags, wenn sich die Roboter selbst nicht zu ernst nehmen.
Mit diesem Beitrag möchte ich gerne ein paar dieser fleißigen Kerlchen zur LMAC Image Library beitragen.
What is LIL?
LIL is the abbreviation for "Let's make a collage Image Library". It is an initiative of the LMAC(Let's make a collage) community to build a library of images that can be used as a material source for collages but also for other aspects.
The images in it are contributed by Hive users and automatically indexed by a bot. All images indexed so far can be found on lmac.gallery. They are linked there.
Was ist LIL?
LIL ist die Abkürzung für "Let's make a collage Image Library". Es eine Initiative der LMAC(Let's make a collage)-Community, um eine Bilder-Bibliothek aufzubauen, die als Material-Quelle für Collagen aber auch für andere Dinge verwendet werden kann.
Die Bilder darin werden von Hive-Benutzern beigetragen und automatisiert von einem Bot indiziert. Alle bisher indizierten Bilder sind auf lmac.gallery zu finden. Sie sind dort verlinkt.
What I like to contribute
The images provided here by me, are all made by myself in Blender. And I have not used any non-free materials or technologies to create them.
Herewith I make them freely available via the #LIL and hope that someday someone can use them for making an artwork from it or anything else.
About the models
I modeled all 3 of these robots for a educational coding game I was working on a few months ago.
In it, the robots have different jobs for which they have to be programmed by the player using a script written in the Javascript programming language.
However, I didn't come up with the idea myself. A former colleague, a computer science lecturer, had the idea when he was thinking about a way to teach young IT students how to solve programming problems.
Customizable
If you need renderings of these models in other poses or other lighting settings, just contact me in the LMAC Discord, in our "creative-workshop" channel.
This would be feasible given the usual #LIL rates.
Was ich gerne beitragen möchte
Die hier von mir zur Verfügung gestellten Bilder, sind allesamt von mir selbst in Blender erstellt. Ich habe dafür keinerlei unfreie Materialien oder Technologien verwendet.
Hiermit stelle ich sie über die #LIL zur freien Verfügung und hoffe, dass sie irgendwann jemand für ein Kunstwerk oder irgend etwas anderes verwenden kann.
Über die Modelle
Ich hatte alle 3 dieser Roboter für ein Programmierlern-Spiel modelliert, an welchem ich vor ein paar Monaten gearbeitet habe.
Darin haben die Roboter unterschiedliche Aufgaben, für die sie vom Spieler mittels einem Script in der Programmiersprache Javascript programmiert werden müssen.
Die Idee dazu hatte ich allerdings nicht selbst. Ein ehemaliger Kollege, ein Informatik-Dozent hatte die Idee, als er über einen Weg nachdachte, Nachwuchs-ITlern programmiererische Problemlösung beizubringen.
