He has a personality one shuold have always look after, even being a influential, he never wanted attention. Having said that, it is hard to see a wealthy and richest person so humble in nature. One Sanskrit verses, perfectly fits into his character.
महान्त एव नम्रत्वं सम्र्द्धया यान्ति नाल्पका|

Yaanti = become.
Naalpakaa = Na + alpakaa .

Alpakaa = small, trifling.
Drashtam + aamraadhsih,
Drushtam = see, for example ..
Aamraadishu = aamra + aadishu.

Greatness and humbleness in noble and righteous persons does not diminish even a little on their becoming prosperous (but in fact increases), for example fruit bearing trees like Mango etc,on being watered and manured, clearly prosper (being laden with leaves, flowers and fruits alluded to prosperity) and bow down.
It teaches us a lesson that even if we get wealthy and prosperous in life, we should remain grounded and humble in nature rather than culping attitude and showoff.
