Here's a warm welcome to this week's battle mage secrets. 🙀OMIGOSH we are down to 13 HOURS to End to Season [EOS], I truly hope you are having fun fighting your way up the leaderboard and well seated in your preferred league(s).
This post is my continuous attempt to explain how I approach the various kinds of Splinterlands battle rulesets. I have so far shared my approach to twenty five (25) Rulesets, here's the last one on RISE OF THE COMMONS
and I have come to introduce you to another.

Splinterlands seeks to sharpen player skills by allowing us explore various strategies via rulesets
. I have tried to study a few cards especially with the newly introduced rulesets, giving one more reasons to know what cards strongly suits them.
Before the start of any battle, each player is shown what ruleset is allowed in battle and it is extremely beneficial to read and strategize accordingly. The secret I will be sharing with you to in this post is the SILENCED SUMMONERS
SILENCED SUMMONERS RULESET implies that Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.
With this in mind;
Use a summoner with no abilities to preserve mana.
Not that bad, summoners don't give any buffs/debuffs, so you got to pick self standing monsters with high HP and good enough abilities for the collective whole, yes?. Well worry not because I have the perfect battle to demonstrate this and a possible lineup that works for low-mid mana battles.

📌TIPS TO NOTE ABOUT THESE RULESETS:
UNPROTECTED : Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs. Keep in mind that Protect, Piercing, Repair, Rust are useless, so focus on a tank(s) with high HP and Heal.
KEEP YOUR DISTANCE : Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles. make sure to keep no attack or higher HP monsters in the front. Instead keep higher speed Magic monsters with abilities like Flying, Dodge, Blind in the front.
SILENCED SUMMONERS : Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities. Try use a summoner with no abilities or low Mana to preserve mana.
Though I could see some mistakes made by my opponent, still @olopezdeveloper2 came at me with a decent lineup and well ruleset appropriate so wouldn't make the mistake by underestimating these cards. I will quickly introduce you to my fantastic Summoner and Monsters.
⚔️ TEAM LINE-UP & REASONS I ENGAGED THEM IN BATTLE ⚔️
✅ALRIC STORMBRINGER (Summoner)
The +1 magic
Alric. I like to use a powerful magic attack against my enemy, something that can quickly deplete their health points so that the battle lasts a few rounds but not too long. Unfortunately the ruleset doesn't permit this summoner to offer any stats buff or debuff or grant/use any abilities.
✅ALMO CAMBIO - Frontline offense
As the frontline of offense monster, ALMO CAMBIO's capabilities shine bright. A non attacker in front with a good HP tank.
✅CORNEALUS - The accurate offense ranger
Comes the second tank, a distraction strategically placed for damage. A range attacker with self Heal and Return fire.
✅CRUSTACEAN KING - The team Healer
A powerful monster and range attacker with Protect & Tank heal.
✅ALBATROSS - The backup healer
Cunning and deadly, ALBATROSS is a non-attacker with Tank heal and Fly ability t rain destruction on non-flying monsters.
✅MERDAALI GUARDIAN - The shield repairer
Next on the team is the powerful MERDAALI. A non-attacker with Tank heal as well as to Repair team monster shield that's taken the most damage.
✅ANGELIC MANDARIN - The Triage naster
A master at dealing decent damage to the opponent from behind. A range attacker with Triage boosting team's fortification and Silence to weaken enemies magic.
Players should be wise and Keep no attack or higher HP monsters in the front.^(a)
✅ This is why I have placed ALMO CAMBIO in first position as he serves perfectly. He is a non-attacker.
✅ Because the Ruleset also took away all their defense, I decided to Triple my Tank Healers, having CRUSTACEAN KING, ALBATROSS and MERDAALI GUARDIAN.
✅ Also, should ALMO CAMBIO get annihilated depending on my opponents lineup, then I have set CORNEALUS to take over and deal damage using it's return fire and Thorns.
Without further ado, let us now enter the battleground and see if my lineup works or not.
⚔️ THE BATTLE ⚔️
- The Enemy came at me with the Life element, ENEMY SUMMONER - BORTUS as Summoner. ENEMY-PRISMATIC ENERGY in first position, ENEMY-ALBATROSS in second position, ENEMY-RIVER NYMPH in third position, ENEMY-RULER OF THE SEAS in fourth position, ENEMY-CRUSTACEAN KING and finally ENEMY-NAGA WINDMASTER in last position. My enemy came at me with great set of cards, so Let's see what happened.
LET'S RUMBLE!!!
Enemy-Summoner BORTUS and my Summoner ALRIC STORMBRINGER offer no buff or debuff to their monsters as per the spotlight ruleset
SILENCED SUMMONERS
.Monsters can offer buffs/debuffs/grant abilities to themselves or team monsters. CRUSTACEAN KING offers all team monsters the Protect ability. ENEMY-RULER OF THE SEAS and ENEMY-NAGA WINDMASTER debuffs my team by placing a Headwinds and magic Silence, thankfully I have no Magic monsters.
Brutal assualt from opponent, but my team stands strong. Soon enough ANGELIC MANDARIN targets and annihilates enemies tank healer ENEMY-CRUSTACEAN KING.
ALMO CAMBIO then targets and kills ENEMY-NAGA WINDMASTER, freeing his team of the headwind curse.
CORNEALUS and ANGELIC MANDARIN take turns to attack and finally annihilate front line ENEMY-PRISMATIC ENERGY.
CORNEALUS again targets and kills ENEMY-ALBATROSS, tank healer out of the way.
ANGELIC MANDARIN targets and kills ENEMY-RIVER NMYPH.
Fierce assault from my team against ENEMY-RULER OF THE SEAS. Once again my team is victorious🎉
A RECAP OF THE LESSONS LEARNT ON SILENCED SUMMONERS RULESET
The SILENCED SUMMONERS
ruleset means that all summoners do not give any stat buffs or abilities to the monsters they summon. Hence, pick low mana summoners and try to converse mana.
Players have to strategize differently since they can't rely on the usual enhancements a summoner provides. This ruleset encourages players to think more about the individual strengths of their monsters and how they can be most effectively used together without the help of their summoner's abilities.
To excel in this, players should wisely place non-attack monsters ALMO CAMBIO
at the front line. These monsters can serve as buffers, absorbing damage from the opposing team's ranged or magic attacks while the player's offensive units prepare their attack.
In this ruleset, employing higher speed magic monsters with abilities like Flying ALBATROSS
becomes a tactical advantage. Flying monsters can evade ground attacks, and when coupled with high speed, they have a better chance of acting before the enemy, potentially disabling them before they can counter.
