This past weekend I jad a gig DJing at a local hot dog restaurant and bar, the happy dog, for an evening of music.
Here is a video of two local drummers, J Guy and Jayson doing their drum duo project, Skunk Wook Ensemble. J Guy is the bad boy noise and free jazz drummer and Jayson being the indie rock darling drummer for Cloud Nothings, as seen on the Jimmy Fallon show.
This place isn't the first venue that I think of when it comes to catching avant garde acts, typically being more of a rock n roll club, but when I get asked to DJ for my favorite extreme cheerleader group, THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE, of course I'm gonna be on board!
