We have another fun episode of the podcast for you, with sets from a few Hivers including @steevc, @anna-newkey, @purplesinger, @todayslight and @daniellemurray
The show has been going since the winter lockdown of 2021 when I used to use a Zoom call to play out people's mp3 tracks live, sharing my screen audio but muting everyone on the call. I used to livestream the result to our Facebook page, but FB didn't like the fact that I was playing out cover versions, and complained that some of the material was copyrighted. I used Podomatic for a while, but I realised that the podcast wasn't paying the people who wrote the songs we sing on the show, so I cancelled that account and moved Radio Liquorice lock, stock and barrel to YouTube, which has an arrangement with licence-holders (it basically lets you play out copyrighted material but stops you making money off the video in return.)
This month's theme was "The sap is rising" or "Spring is coming". As usual, some people take the theme quite seriously and others don't pay it much attention, while others are somewhere in between. Either way, we always seem to get a varied show with a high overall standard of recordings.
