Hi Hive Blog friends!
This is my first post after publishing my self introduction post on Hive Blog. Today I want to enter the featured contest announced by Bruno's brother through Discord @hivelearners with the theme of betrayal.
This is really an interesting theme to cover in this post. Hearing the word betrayal reminds me of the betrayal of the Indonesian government against the people of Aceh. This breaks our hearts deeply and takes away our trust in the central government.

Aceh was the only area that the Dutch Colonial could not colonize. Aceh also made Indonesia independent. But Aceh was betrayed by the central government with its promise.
Prior to independence, President Soekarno appealed to the people of Aceh to become part of Indonesia so that Indonesia would become independent on the condition that the province of Aceh became a special region and had its own government.
Daud Beureueh, who was the leader of the Acehnese at that time, agreed on the condition that Aceh make its own rules by applying Islamic law and administering it themselves without interference from the central government.
At that time President Soekarno also agreed, and promised to fulfill all the requirements put forward and Soekarno also asked the people of Aceh to provide loans and donations to buy war equipment and state transportation.
The people of Aceh who at that time had the spirit of mutual cooperation collected all their wealth for the independence of Indonesia. From the donation, he was able to buy the RI-1 plane which became the forerunner to the birth of the Garuda Indonesia plane.
In addition, Aceh is also the area that has contributed the most to the independence of Indonesia. Why not, with the existence of Radio Rimba Raya belonging to the people of Aceh, the capital city of Indonesia which at that time was in Yogyakarta was controlled by the Dutch Colonial and wanted to regain control of the entire territory of Indonesia. However, this was not done, because with broadcasts from Radio Rimba Raya throughout the world, Indonesia still exists. This was the start of a roundtable conference held in The Hague, Netherlands.
But today, the services of the Acehnese people are completely forgotten by the Indonesian central government. Aceh is like a stepdaughter. They only take natural products from Aceh, but do not prosper the Acehnese people. This led to the emergence of the Acehnese community with the Darul Islam/Indonesian Islamic Army (DI/TII) movement which was led directly by Daud Beureueh starting on September 20, 1953.
However, the Indonesian government managed to subdue the movement in two ways, namely through military operations and diplomatically by sending envoys to Aceh to talk with Acehnese leader Daud Beureueh. After a long time, the central government decided to give special autonomy to Aceh as a Special Region and allow the implementation of Islamic law. The problem ended in 1962 through the Aceh People's Harmony Consultation (MKRA) on 18-22 December 1962 in Aceh.
Not long after, the people of Aceh again moved through the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) on December 4, 1976. This was because the distribution of Aceh's resources was not in accordance with the agreement and special areas were not fully allocated, as well as the increasing number of Javanese transmigrating to Aceh.
The Free Aceh Movement (GAM) ended on August 15, 2005 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the Indonesian government in Helsinki, Finland, after the Earthquake and Tsunami hit Aceh in December. 26, 2004.
