🦉 The Siberian stonechat or Asian stonechat (Saxicola maurus)
- Saxicola (lat ): saxum rock, stone, -cola inhabitant
- maurus (lat.): Moorish, black
One day at the beginning of May I went to the meadows outside the city. This is the most favorable time to visit them, since there is no dense vegetation yet and the territory is clearly visible, and besides, it is the mating season of the birds.
I saw these birds, it was an already formed pair.
And they were already in full swing building the nest. The male sat on a bush branch and watched the territory. the female was busy building a nest, she was looking for building material, namely: dry blades of grass, stems.
