🦉 The yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella)
- Emberiza embritz (Old German) bunting
- citrinella citrine (lat.) yellow; citrinella (Italian) yellow bird
These birds are few in number in the forests of my city. They arrive early, they can be found even at the end of March when there is still a lot of snow, but the sun is warm as in spring. To see these birds I go to the forest by the river, as well as to the meadows near the lake and the river.
Actually, from the habitats, it can be understood that the bird lives in the lower tiers, in the bush zone. Actually, they place a nest on the ground near the bushes. When these birds fly away is not clear to me because of their small number. The last meetings were in mid-September
