14 Year Old Looking For Money

Few weeks ago one of my aunties called me, we haven’t spoken for over 5 years, we spoke for a while to catch up, then she asked me of some Ponzi scheme if I had heard about it or done it before. Well with my little financial advice and knowledge in crypto, I told her it’s a Ponzi scheme and I wasn’t interested. Then she asked me what I do for a living, crypto is the only means of making money I know, I know others but I don’t use them. So I told her about crypto and she told me to teach her son how to make money through any means I know. That sounded weird to me because the last time I checked her son is less than 18 years of age.

I asked her his age and she said he is 14 years old, so I told her to send my number to him. I used to wish that I knew about crypto when I was younger, not because I wanted to earn money but because I felt that if I had known crypto before I was 18, most of the mistakes I am making now, I won’t have made them because I had the opportunity to learn and make my mistakes at an earlier age. He texted me and told me about how he was interested in learning crypto, I told him to be sure he wanted to learn it because he wants to not because he wants to make money or because he heard people make money from crypto.

So I sent him a link for crypto beginners and told him to start from there, over time he will learn more about crypto. A day later he sent me a message and said he wasn’t interested anymore, that crypto is to hard, he wants to learn something else that will teach him how to make money. That sounded so wrong to me again, because why should a 14 year old who doesn’t pay bills be worried about making money right now. He has no business being worried about how to make money, his focus should be on learning and acquiring a skill.
