Have you heard people say money brings out your true character or your real personality. It’s always as if being poor or not having money shields you from exhibiting your true character. Although it’s assumed that poor busy are too busy trying not to be poor they don’t have time to exhibit certain characters like greed. It’s easy for us to judge capitalists because they are greedy, always wanting the bigger share it’s easier to get noticed. But look at the poor ones too, they are also as greedy as the rich ones, the difference is the share.

I was watching one of these charity videos on TikTok and a poor woman was taken shopping to shop for anything. I am used to watching this content creator’s videos of taking people shopping and most times when shopping they are quite considerate with the budget. They spend probably $150 but less than $200 except they are buying electronics, but on foodstuff and basic things like cereals, snacks, food or toiletries. But this particular recent woman was taking things in 4s, 2s and more, and she was shopping in a way that kind of felt like she was being too greedy.
She ended up spending over $500 worth of foodstuff and people in the comment section were commenting on how greedy she was, while others were defending her that she is poor and she saw that as a one time opportunity and shouldn’t be blamed. This got me thinking, when the poor get greedy we make a mistake for them but when the rich get greedy we attack them and point out their greed. Forgetting that rich man is just a poor man with more money and more resources. A rich man was once poor and their greed is because they are selfish and want to make sure they never stay poor, that doesn’t mean that a poor man wouldn’t do the same when given the chance.
