Love The Clouds After The Rain: Round 155

in #hive-1316092 years ago

This morning I went out on my back deck to check the sky after a rainy night.

The clouds were moving lazily above the tall spruce trees. At times they were sparse against the blue sky and other times gathered closely together.

The sun starts to peek out as thin clouds line the sky.

The reflection of the sun on the deciduous trees that are changing into their golden fall dress. The clouds are disappearing leaving mostly a clear blue sky.

Not only did I see the clouds this morning but a little visitor was waiting for me on the wet deck for a treat.

The little red squirrel likes his unsalted peanuts and cashews. Ok, I spoil him along with a couple other critters that live in the forest. 🤭

Photos taken with my iPad.

Awww the squirrel is so cuteee

What kinds of preparations you need to take for the winter?

The little squirrel is cute. 😊

Because we have the four seasons here, spring, summer, fall and winter, our houses are well insulated for the winter season where the temperature drops below freezing many days.

It’s important to have fuel for the furnace and a snowblower in working order in the winter to remove snow from the driveway. We burn wood and also oil. Many people use heat pumps. This serves as an air conditioner in summer and provides heat for winter.

oohh it is a lot of work for a complete season , now i understand better why so many people doesnt like winter... it is only pretty from far away but living it is another history

Beautiful Morning Photography

Thanks @melissaparada 😊

Welcome

Waking to find everything in harmony above ground, friends venturing out to greet the morning with you after recent hurricane wrecked havoc.

Tall trees showing they withstood stormy weather, now gathering energy to get through winter.

Yes it is nice to see calm weather after Fiona ripped through here, Joan. We were lucky these tall trees around the yard stood the test. Actually, in the depth of the forest, mostly the spruce trees took a beating. They seemed to be uprooted because of shallow roots but many hardwood tree like the maples were snapped off in the middle or branches tore off. There is still a massive cleanup going on. Many decks and building destroyed. A few people I know had the mast, where the electrical power goes in their house, tore off. A bit expensive to repair.

I hope these storms aren’t going to be the norm with all the talk of climate change.

Have a great day, my friend, 💕

Devastating floods, we are still mopping up since April, money dries up, or government simply has spent everything in the coffers repairs are tediously slow. Insurance also play dodgems when it comes to paying out of late, although we have had a couple over the years so I hope this is not an indication of possible future with storms.

Some trees in wooded areas don't deal well with extreme wind, sounded like wind speeds you encountered simply lifted much and moved it around.

Replacing or fixing always better than loss of life, glad to hear you are coping and building back once again.

Enjoy your weekend, another on our doorstep! 🤗

Hello dear friend @redheadpei good morning
Something that I really like is seeing the sunrise after a rainy night, usually you can always see beautiful cloud formations
I love the view from your backyard, beautiful shots

Looks like a nice autumn morning! Are you ready for winter?

Hi Melinda. Except for the Fiona Hurricane we are having a lovely Autumn 🍂

What a scenic and serene place you are so blessed to live on. I really wouldn't mind waking up to this vista everyday. Just looking at it cools my head already and eases the tension in my mind. Love the second photo the most. The sun's rays are hitting just the upper half of the trees while the rest is still in darkness. Love the contrast. The clouds create drama, seemingly undecided to leave but slowly realizing they have to go or wilt under the sunlight.

Good luck to you in the contest. We might see each other in this round as I caught some cloud formations earlier this week which I will enter. 😊

Thanks Gems @gems.and.cookies. 😊 I’m happy you like the photos. Look forward to seeing your clouds.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for good luck wishes, my friend . ☘️

The little visitor is so cute, it looks like a squirrel. Very good photography

Thanks. Yes it’s a little red squirrel. The only kind we have here on the Island.
