Rain is not welcome in this city. Everyone hates it here. And why would it not be? No one likes seeing the roads clogged and massive traffic on the street! The crazy thing is I still love this.
Last Monday when I was preparing to go out, it was already raining. We wait for a while but it didn't stop. I didn't mind getting wet a little bit. Oh, one thing I hate about the rain; it wets the shoes!! Otherwise, I'm fine with the bad weather.
It was around 6.30 in the afternoon, rush hour, everyone was heading to their home from the workplace. It's been a while since I didn't get myself into this specific hour because I know what the street looks like during this time and what the traffic is like. I had no choice this time.
I get off from my Uber and was searching for a specific location, turned out I need to walk more than 10 minutes to get there! Felt a little dumb though. But it's okay to make mistakes sometimes, no?
Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to see the color play going in the sky during golden hour.
After finishing my work I was waiting for another Uber but unfortunately, there was none available at the location. I decided to have a cup of tea from the roadside tea stall.
It's been years since I didn't have the experience because of Covid fear. To be honest, I loved the tea. The smell reminded me how much I missed the experience.
Interesting thing is, the tea seller lady was very friendly and asked me about how many kids I have and all. She showed me her son's photo on her mobile, said her son doesn't want to go to school, he is very naughty, blah, blah, blah...
I usually don't get this gesture. Maybe one mom just wanted to share her mom's life with another one and my appearance made her feel comfortable. I didn't mind, quite liked it.
Oh, I forgot to add that there was no rain afterward. hahaha...That's why city dwellers hate rain. Rain just wets the street and the shoes, nothing else.
