Sometimes it doesn't feel right even if everything is perfect, no? Tell me, I'm not the only crazy one!
A few days ago, I felt like I needed to do something; maybe some random shopping, walking around, or having food outside. It was a desperate call to escape my daily routine life.
So, while my son was at school, I went for a day of 'me time'. I found that treating myself with something special helps me soothe.
First, I did some small shopping; grocery, and some nitty-gritty for my home. Then a small shop caught my eye. It was mid-noon so the shops were empty. What could be best for an introvert?
I didn't resist going there and having some food.
I ordered a meat bowl filled with chicken, sausage, and lots of potatoes topped with mayonnaise, cream, and cheese. It sure filled my heart.
It costs me only $1.
After this small meal, it was time to go home. But my tummy was craving something sweet.
While coming back home, I bought some local desserts. We call the colorful one Laddu and the black one Misti. The Laddu was not so good but the Misti was.
It costs me $1.5.
But guess what?
After this random adventure, I was still feeling like something was missing. Ah! It was a bad day for me, nothing was working.
I did some meditation, prayed, and read books.
Later at night, after serving dinner I was feeling like making something for myself. There were some leftover Chocolate Ganache in my fridge. So I searched on YT for recipes with it.
Turned out, you can make fine brownies with that.
So I did that in no time and it turned out nice. Keep in touch for the recipe in my upcoming post.
So that was my day, not planned nor perfect but a random food adventure with some roller-coaster emotions. It may not seem like a Foodie post but the food sure made me feel uplifted.
Can you relate? Do you have some episodes like this?
