Flowers make my day!
Even a single wildflower, out of nowhere makes me happy. So imagine when I step into this beautiful rose garden.
I can't remember when saw so many roses at once. Rose is an expensive plant here, so not everyone can afford to plant them in their garden. Fortunately, this public park decided to do something exceptional to attract visitors. And no need to say, it worked. Every day many visit this park to enjoy the beauty of roses.
This is a newly opened public park called Police Lines Park located in the heart of Rangur. The park is owned and maintained by the Police Department of Rangpur - Bangladesh. But it's open for all and needs no entry fees.
There is a small pond beside the garden that is full of Koi fish. Also, you can sit on the benches beside the garden or the pond while enjoying the beauty.
The garden is not more than 50 yards long and 20 yards wide. But they have planted so many varieties of roses there. You will find every possible color, in every shape that is available in this region.
Moreover, it was a beautiful sunny day. The winter morning glows up with the sun and the flowers!
The garden has mostly red flowers. But there were others too. It looked like they were well taken care of.
From the entry point, you can't even see the flower garden. Maybe they lined it in this way so wild animals wouldn't enter easily and passersby couldn't pick flowers on their way.
This garden is in front of the Police Lines school premises.
We sat on the bench for hours, taking photos of the flowers and ourselves. There's a small park for kids, so parents were sitting there, too, enjoying this sanity.
I love everything about this place. There is no loud noise nearby, the pond, the benches under the tree shades, the kid's park, and on top this beautiful rose garden.
It's not a huge place, you can explore it in under 10 minutes. But they tried to fit many things to make refreshments for the city dwellers. And I would say, they successfully did it. This place felt like an escape, a pause in between the hustle of my life.
Although I couldn't take good photos with my mobile phone. But I hope this flowers lighten up your day like it did to me!
