Was Graham Potter really the problem?
Yesterday's match against Liverpool proved that Chelsea has a lot to do.
Most Chelsea fans were protesting for Graham Potter to be sacked as the head coach meanwhile it's the spirit of the team that is down and not the Coach.
Potter's days at Brighton were really impressive, the spirit of the team was massive even in his absence they still play good football.
Chelsea has the most chance created in the full-time match against Liverpool but they couldn’t score a goal. The only time they came close was when Havertz used his hand to score the goal after missing a one-on-one chance with Alison. Another chance we saw was when Kovacic was given a through ball which he played over the bar.
Chelsea had about 12 shots in total and 3 shots on target. They also missed a total of 4 big chances. But Liverpool on the other hand never had a big chance in the game.
They will be facing one of the most successful and experienced club team in Europe in the Champions League and they are still battling to find the net
My thoughts are, whichever coach they bring, it’s the spirit of the team that will determine how long the coach will stay at the team.
The only coach I will suggest for the Chelsea team is Jose Mourinho, he is the only coach that can restore discipline and brings back the team spirit.
I say this because there are a lot of young talented players who just need a little advice and a push from a good coach like Mourinho to play good football.
