Insect photography // Trying a new challenge, photographing insects from a very close distance

in #hive-194913last month

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

Today I took the time to play in the coconut grove to hunt for some beautiful pictures there, I also did a picture hunt with a small child who asked permission to join the hunt this time, we arrived at the coconut grove at exactly 03.00 WIB where there were already many insects doing their activities, so I looked for some insects that had extraordinary beauty for me to photograph and on this occasion I also managed to get some quite satisfying results.

This is a very large coconut plantation, and this is a plantation owned by local residents, I often do image hunting in the garden because there are indeed many insects playing there, besides that in this garden also has a natural view that is truly extraordinary and is a view that we can see when in the garden. When I was walking around the coconut garden I stopped at a tree that had been cut down because I saw a dragonfly flying around it.

Around the tree there were many insects flying, one of which was a dragonfly that was seen perched on one of the tree branches. Seeing the dragonfly, I started to approach it and tried to take a picture of it.

When I was doing a photo shoot, suddenly this dragonfly glanced at me with a very sharp gaze.

I photographed this dragonfly with the help of a macro lens so that it shows the beauty of the dragonfly beautifully, and when I took the photo the first thing I noticed was the image quality and the details of the image I photographed, such as the dragonfly image that I successfully photographed has high image quality and extraordinary beauty, hopefully.

And when I was doing a dragonfly photo session, suddenly I saw another insect, a butterfly that had a very beautiful color, yellow. Seeing the beauty of the butterfly, I started to approach it to take a picture of it.

This is a yellow butterfly that is not too small and not too big, and this butterfly has a very beautiful color, namely yellow, but behind its beauty this butterfly is very wild, where to be able to photograph it I had to spend about 30 minutes, how could it not be, when I was doing a photo shoot suddenly this butterfly immediately flew to another leaf so I had to approach it and start photographing it again.

This is a picture I took when the butterfly landed on one of the leaves around the garden, and I only managed to take three photos because suddenly the butterfly flew away again.

Even though this butterfly is very wild and I often fail in doing photo shoots, I still try to get maximum results, I continue to follow this butterfly wherever it goes and still experience several failures that make me a little annoyed and desperate, but when I succeed in photographing it and get maximum results it makes me relieved and satisfied, because in fact the results we get depend on how much effort we put in.

and still in the same park I saw a butterfly flying around me for no apparent reason, then the butterfly landed on one of the small trees in front of me, seeing that opportunity I started to approach it and immediately took a photo.

I tried something more challenging, which was trying to photograph this butterfly with the help of a macro lens. As you all know, to photograph an object using a macro lens, we have to bring the camera closer to the object we are photographing. Luckily, this butterfly was very tame so I was able to photograph it with satisfactory results.

Well, those are the results of my photos today and a little story that I present in this post. I really hope this post can provide entertainment for all my friends.
