I hope that everyone is doing fine, specially those who are affected during the typoon Agaton there in Leyte. Stay safe kabayans.
Past few weeks are our most hectic days from work and school at home, we can really feel the stress. We, adults really need to do our part so we can provide our family needs and be an on-hand parents too but we also need some time to relax to keep our sanity. We go out together with the kids so our eldest can have some fun outside to relax and be ready for next week's school works.
Tom's World
Our first stop is the tom's world, where rides and arcades are all here.
At the front of it is like a mini gallery of different kinds of painting, I guess I saw it downstairs when they are carrying these paintings last week.
"The Magical Carousel", this is their favorite ride as always.
Mercato Centrale
It is an outdoor food plaza with various foods and drinks available for everyone.
The first food stall which attracts my kids eyes is this fruit shake, they both chose strawberry shake.
Next to it is this street food stall, they sell calamares, isaw, dynamite, kwek-kwek, fried crispy small crabs, shrimps etc.
Most of the picka-picka foods that you can think of is here, just look around.
We ordered this 2 flavored chicken wings: garlic and parmesan cheese, and barbeque falvors. It comes with a cup of rice and plastic gloves so you can eat using your hands.
I bought this dragon fruit 'cause I was curious of the taste of the fruit, I never tasted it before but I liked it. Taste yummy and refreshing!
Should I call my kids a heavy drinker? They are both still little but can drink as much as a teenager can, specially if it is fruit juice or shake. I think it's a good thing specially the summer is approaching and it will be hot.
Pre-loved Books for sale
I posted about this in my previous blog but this day we finally bought some books for the kids.
Though there are some small flaws since it is preloved but most of them is still good when you look at the pages. They have different genres of books, may it be for adults or kids.
This books stall remind me of when I was young when I was really fond of reading but I only have a few. I read them over and over again, we can't afford to buy books with hard and beautiful covers. Now, my kids can afford these kinds of books but here we are buying pre-loved books 'cause we can find beautiful books here and can also save up a lot.
My youngest choose these two books by it's cover, she can't read yet but she has an eye for beautiful things. I guess the bunny is chosen because it is one of her favorite animal in every stories about animals.
These two books were chosen by my eldest, as the title says "I'm a big sister". Bedtime Prayers is for praying so she can have a good night sleep, that's her explanation why she chose it.
Tom's World Again
We go back to Tom's World to use our remaining tokens, as usual my youngest enjoyed another ride while my eldest tries this fish game. I forgot the exact name but she nailed it, as a first timer. I also tried it but unfortunately this game don't like me and it ended up game over in one shot. I asked my self if how it happened but I guess the answer is that this game is not rally for me. I stepped aside and cheer for my eldest who enjoys it and her gamer daddy is proudly smiling while watching her play.
We got home still full but tired, it's worth it 'cause we feel relaxed even for a few hours before going back to the real battle ground. We will be doing this from time to time so we can balance our work-time and family-time.
