The Joy of Thrift Shopping: Finding Unique Treasures

in #hive-1948483 months ago

Being a minimalist doesn't portray you as a poor person, it is a way to minimize and cut down the cost of things you are purchasing than be an extravagant human being.

I traveled for my sister's wedding four years ago, I spent more than a week in the city, one day my sister told me to escort her to the market, this market is one of the best Okirika markets in town, okirika means thrift, in this market they sell clothes, shoe bag,and other used electronics, they have grade one, two and three. Grade one means fairly used while grade two means used but it still looks okay.

I got to the market and sighted this lovely bag, it is a black bag and looks so nice, I know the original can cost me a fortune, it looks so adorable and goes with any color of my wear, I quickly rushed to the seller and asked for the price, the cost of this bag melted my heart.

One thing about this thrift is that you can never see it in another place, it is not common at all, something is unique and people will start questioning me about how I got it or where bought it from, second-hand things are so much stronger and valuable than new ones.

This bag has become one of my favorite bags because of its size, and shape, the bag is very portable and handy, it has been serving me since the year I bought it and I haven't regretted buying it, the bag has worked more than the price I got it, I do not know the brand of it but it is always delivered, I love it so much.

Buying this bag doesn't mean I am poor, I have other bags that are expensive but don't last at all, to get used ones is preferable to the new ones that are cost and don't last, no one's can believe that I have been using this bag for the past four years and more.

No one will question me anytime I carry my bag even if I tell them the price I got it they won't believe and I do not care about what people think about me getting things from the thrift market I believe everyone has the right to their opinion, it is my choice and it suite my taste.

I don't allow people to talk down on me because of things I get from the thrift market, I do get wear even people selling at boutiques often visit the thrift market, all we need is packaging, learn how to rock all these wear, bags and shoes gotten from thrift market, I do not care about what people think about my choice.
