MAAAAAN!!!!!! This was SO GOOD!!!! The percussive opening part? Killer. The bright notes of the capo voicing? Uplifting and full. I love love freakin LOVE this version!!! And, I’m not just coming in blind…this is one of my favorite songs of all time, even got a small piece of the lyrics tattooed on my guitar arm :)
…also, I recorded my own cover of this, but wound up trashing it because it was too distant from the original vibe - I’m going to watch this a few times and try to learn from you because I’d love to play it half as well as you!

Great work mate, absolutely can’t tell you enough how awesome this was. Can’t wait to see MobeyDick back together as well :)

Wow!! Oh man that's awesome that you know and love this song so well!

One of my tricks on this performance is to use two capos. The one is covering all the strings on the second fret, while the other only covers the bottom 5 strings (leaving the bass string open) on the 6th fret. This is kind of like a "Drop-C" tuning which makes the spread of notes on the root Cmajor chord much fuller!

Holy smokes, that’s brilliant! And it stands out! …that must be how you got such a killer range, that high voicing with the bass notes still holding their full power - DUDE!!!

If you love this song, you probably tolerate its brother from the album "Call Me Al"?:

I love that song as well! In fact, I recorded it a week or two ago and it will be posting I think on Friday next week. Actually I love that whole album…I’m working on a few other songs from there, like the title track Graceland, Boy in the Bubble and Myth of Fingerprints…but I don’t have your technical skill, so it’s pretty much all just strummed when I do them 🤣
